Costco has hydrocortisone cream for $2.29 at the pharmacy and it really helps take the itch away.

I don't like the chemical stuff either. I read online that lavender essential oil would work to repel them, so I tried that mixed with an olive oil base. I still got eaten up when I was out for a short period today. I don't know, maybe I didn't apply enough of it? It was the only essential oil I had on hand that will supposedly work, I might have to go to Planet O tomorrow and look for something else as this is terrible. I cannot even open the windows in my car without them swarming in.
