I think it is a general offer of 100 points when you spend $1 on margerine.

Found some Montreal smoked meat chubs on sale for $7/kg ($3.18/lb) at RCSS. I grabbed 2x 8-pound chubs. The counter staff told me he had been selling them all day, but had never seen anyone just buy the entire thing. I told him that when there was a decent price, I don't mind getting lots and freezing them.
Another RCSS was selling cooked chicken breast for $5.60/kg ($2.54/lb) so I grabbed another 2x 5-pound loaves.

An app offer from No Frills is for 10 lb. potatoes for $1.88 with a bonus 250 PCO points. Thanks, @couponlady , for posting the flyer No Frills (ON) flyer October 26 - November 1
I bought 2 bags of the 10 lb. yellow potatoes and earned not 250 but 500 points for each bag!
ha ha !! @lotsasavings after I picked up DS from the dentist we went over to NF and he howled with laughter at how cheap that 10 lb. bag of spuds were!
We also bought the yellow flesh ones. Now he finally understands why I get irked when I see potatoes for 5 or 6 dollars a bag!
While there I grabbed my FREE bag of Skillet Gnocchi Stix and a FREE 454 gram block of Becel plant based butter! Unsure how I will even use that product
as we are real butter people only.
Just to get @Lynn49 worked up, listed in the ingredients is CANOLA OIL!! ha ha ha Otoh.......seems to be no sugar, carbs or fibre in this stuff?? What a joke.
My first thought would be to use it when the butter taste isn't as prominent because it's largely if not completely covered up by other flavors. As a simple example, I prefer butter when I have plain toast, but when I also have jam, the more I put on, the less it matters if I use margarine instead. I almost always have both around and choose depending on what I'm making.
Forgot to add that I sometimes melt "plant butter" and sub it for oil in baking.
In Quebec, Jean-Coutu and Brunet have the Dove Men and Dove antiperspirants and deodorants on sale for 2/$10.99. I used my $4 coupons and got 10 of the Dove Men spray antiperspirants for $1.50 each (before tax). My DH and DS will be stocked for at least the next couple of years.
ty @Arjon for the suggestions regarding that Becel product. I was thinking cooking with it would be o.k. like when I saute mushrooms and onions.
Task, task, task… @walkonby….the ol’ butter vs margarine debate. When you get old like Hubby and I, when your cholesterol is just reaching the uh-uh number, butter has to go flying out the window…no saturated, trans fats or added cholesterol for us. Although now that farmers are supplementing cow feed with lard (have you noticed it doesn’t melt beautifully into your toast now? Stays harder in your cupboard?) it’s also lost that buttery flavour we had in the olden days, also, which, young folks probably never tasted, so don’t remember.
We’ve had to switch to a healthier choice, which for us, is Lactantia olive oil butter substitute, low in saturated fat and trans fats and NO cholesterol, and no, it’s not a margarine, which contain trans fats.
Enjoy your butter as long as you can, my dear Friend, if you enjoy it, I hope your cholesterol never rises.
Brat.😏
