Thanks for thinking of me.
I checked and found:
So it won't hurt I think.Q. How does high-octane gas help?
A. Compared to regular gas, high-octane gas requires higher temperature and pressure to ignite, so it can withstand higher compression without reigniting. As such, it's less likely to result in premature ignition, and therefore prevents pinging and/or knocking.
In other words, it's a form of protection for high compression engines.Q. So, I should use high-octane gas to prevent pinging?
A. High-octane gas will prevent pinging.
But these days most cars have something called a knock-sensor, that will - under many circumstances - obviate the need for premium gas. Just about any car that's more recent than about 1996 will have a knock sensor.

the Glade Starter kits were still $5.47 @ WM and when my flyers came yesterday afternoon, there was an insert tucked in the pages with a save $5.00 on any of these!! Getting this regularly priced item @ $11.99 for just $ .47 made my morning!! Too bad I only had the one insert.

4 boxes of Quaker cookies for $1 each.
Last week loblaws was clearing out the cookies as the boxes were short dated.
Saw the shelf fully stocked and the shelf label was $1. All had long expiry dates. Grabbed 4 boxes. Scanned at full price. No SCOP as no one came to price check. Oh well. Didn't want to wait just for $1.

2 dozen eggs for $1.97 total. I was trying to price match eggs for 1.77 a dozen at SDM, at the till at No Frills. Somehow they accidentally charged me 1.97 per dozen instead of 1.77 a dozen so I asked for an adjustment which I thought would be 40 cents-not sure I understand their Math but they must have Scopped one as they handed me $2.15 cents back so I didn't argue.
