Will admit I typically watch for the clearout stickers at SDM vs. price freeze stickers. This one made me a price freeze believer today!

Schweppes $1 at walmart. If you buy 4 there is a coupon that gives you $2 but it ends in 3 days

There was only 4 left so yes I did buy what was left but I actually felt a tinge of guilt :-( Then I went to Food Basics to pick up some of the Classico pesto that is on sale for 1.88 only to have the guy tell me a customer bought up all the stock they had yesterday (5 cases of pesto)!
On a nice note, the people behind me in Shoppers were all excited for me as they watched my purchases ring up, use coupons and then redeem points. I was feeling bad as the line up was getting pretty long and while I did not have a ton of stuff, the cashier was struggling getting some of the mgr stickers off. So it was nice to see people genuinely enthusiastic about how low my out of pocket expense was.

I set a goal for myself today to do my grocery shopping using only points, airmiles and the $75+ change I had in my wallet. A few hiccups but overall I'm pleased with the way it turned out (meaning I had enough money left to buy a bottle of wine lol)
Shop #1 @ No Frills. Bought Alcan Foil $1, Tassimo coffee $6.97, Royal Velour x 2 @ $4.77 less 2x$1 coupons, Royale Kleenex 6 box pack $3.97 less $1 coupon, Tiger Towel $4.77 less $1 coupon, NN OJ $2.88, Iogo yogurt $4.97, Pillsbury Pizzas (8) $3.97, Old Mill bagels $1.50, Old Mill Eng Muffins $1 and Pork Tenderloin $6.34. Total $45.42
Shop #2 @ SDM. Large Tassimo boxes of PC Great Canadian 2 x $22.99, Christie crackers 3 @ $1.88, Cream 2/$5, Gain Fireworks $4.99 less $1 coupon, Catelli 3/$5 less $1, Cascade dishwasher packs $4.99 less $1 coupon, Wonder Eng Muffins $1.99, Saputo Mozzarellis shredded cheese 4 @ $0.49 each !, Elastoplast bandages 2 @ $8.49 each (this is where I screwed up). They were on buy one at $5.99 get one free. I had an optimum offer of 1250pts AND each box had a $4 mgr coupon. I thought I'd get charged $5.99 only and then $8 off but no such luck. I was aiming for closer to a $60 bill so this threw me off, otherwise I should have put back one of the tassimo boxes. Might still return it. Total $86.12
Shop #3 @ Metro. Kraft dinner 4pk for $3.99, Advil liquid gel $11.99 less $3 coupon, Juice $1.29, Sealtest sour cream $0.99, Philly cream cheese (bigger tub) $2.99, Philly whipped cream cheese $2.99 less $1 coupon. Total $22.02
Shop #4 @ Food Basics. Classico pasta sauce $1.88, Lactantia butter $2.88, Advil Night liquid gel $11.88 less $4 coupon. Total $14.18
Total of all shops $167.74 (which included $23 of coupons). Redeemed $20 at No Frills, $60 at SDM, $20 of Air Miles at Metro. Out of Pocket $67.74 with submitted rebates $9.75 to get paid back.Last edited by ReallySC; Sat, Sep 26th, 2015 at 06:26 PM.
