Redeemed my points at Shoppers for $170 off an Acer laptop for DS for Christmas. I've had the points since last Christmas when we bought him a PS4 during 20x. I made a point of waiting til 20x point event so I could get at least some of my points back. I'm back up to $85 again. I don't normally shop at this store so it would take me years to earn these points.

I went to Safeway to spend $50-bought lots of shortdated meat(50% off) and my total came to $43.27( after the 15% off) and also cashed in airmiles so paid $33.27.In addition, I also received a $10 Safeway gift card and 4 cents a litre off gas so OOP was about $22.

Then I stopped at Walmart to take advantage of .97 cent pinapples and canteloupe, some marked down acorn squash and PM'd a cabbage.

Even better deal than I posted earlier. My DD just forwarded me an email saying she is receiving an unexpected $3300 subsidy for her residence fees at UBC( which cost a bomb!). Yippee-I feel like I just won the lottery-that will be a $3300 savings on my January expenses!
