I don't know if this is still the case but a friend who used to work at Carlton Cards used to give us envelopes because, although they had to return "Seasonal" Cards, they didn't have to return the envelopes.

My sister gave me a huge pile of envelopes a few years back. She said her friend worked for a greeting card company and returned the unsold cards, but kept the envelopes.

Shell gas station ran out of low grade gas due to snow and truck late delivery.
They ran out of the medium grade gas too.
They gave everybody the high grade gas, for the price of the low grade gas (regular gas)

Airmiles promotion for high grade gas. Instead of 2 x Airmiles, they had 20x Airmiles (25 L minimum).

So got high grade gas for low grade gas price PLUS got 20x Airmiles.
