Yesterday at No Frills. Skinless chicken breast $1LB!
I saw the sign at an empty bunker. Decided to just ask if they had more and he said he had one and came put with a box. Said it was short dated...He said I could take the box!
Our freezer is stocked!

In Quebec, we only have one fried chicken restaurant, KFC.
KFC partnered with the Canadiens. If they win the game, we get a deal, 3 pieces for $3 with a $1 order. Add a side of gravy for $1.50 and makes a great supper.
And a free double pack of Turtles chocolate.Last edited by couponmummy; Sun, Feb 23rd, 2025 at 08:55 PM.

Sigh, I am such a greedy idiot.
Saw 1-litre of Nestle ice cream on clearance for $1.78 each and bought two, even though the price is much higher than I would normally pay for dairy. And, I don't have any room in my freezers for it. Stupid, stupid, stupid. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

For the past while, Cheetos mac and cheese have been 4/$5 at WM, with a couple of flavors having an FPC for the puffs on the inside of the box. It has a nice long expiry date, Oct. 31, and it includes the tax. So, even if you don't use the mac and cheese, the puffs are $1.25 each.
As a caveat, there's no way to know how much longer the price and the packs with the FPCs will last.
If you have air miles cash miles, you can redeem them for WM e-vouchers at the usual 95 miles => $10.

Bus ride from hotel to San Diego airport was $1.25 for seniors. Sure beats a $40 cab ride.

Not so much a brag as a gratefulness towards a Company I order my Carbonaut bread and Lavish sheets from ( Low Carb Canada ). Two of the gluten free cinnamon raisin loaves that came 2 weeks ago were undercooked in the centre but since the products arrive frozen I never noticed.
I had to throw away a 1/3 of each loaf as the slices were a mushed up stuck mess in the middle.
Maybe I just wasn't up for a fight at the time ( sickness running through the house here ) but today I addressed the matter and they quickly responded with a full refund for the 2 loaves. I had to send them photos of the batch lot numbers, but that was reasonable.

2.5 pound papaya at WM for $2.
Sigh, I am just pathetic. $0.80/lb is okay, but not a great deal, IMO. Still, I was unable to pass on it, even though I have a glut of other fruit. I am my own worst enemy. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I just saved myself about $200. An online chat agent told me I would need to apply for a British passport rather than an ETA as I am a dual national. I decided to apply anyway and was approved. Yay. Heading to England in August and January.

Walmart had 23x 662mL jars of spaghetti bolognese sauce for $1 each along with (sigh) another 3.3lb papaya discounted to $2 Alas, I bought the papaya. I just can't seem to pass them by, when they are $0.60/lb.

Yesterday from Flashfood: 8x 375 gm Maple Leaf Lazy Maple bacon @$1 so $8.45 incl. service fee and tax. We've been gradually reducing our fat intake for years, so this should last us at least 18-24 months. I froze half the packages unopened plus cooked the rest and froze it in meal-sized portions.
