Pasta dish is in the oven! I used up a package of ground turkey/chicken from the freezer (no sure which it was) I was going to toss it when I cleaned the freezer out last week but I was determined to use it! Hope our Mikey likes it! I used 3 out of 4 opened packages of pasta. It was still way too much so there is a container in the fridge that I am sure DS (the pasta eater) will eat.
Now to wash up the few dishes and then check on the laundry!

I went to purchase something at my IGA and the cashier asked me if I wanted a free Cottage Cheese tub.
I say yes sure!!!
I figure it out it will be a great way to see if I like it without paying.
Expiry date is January 18.
That was the reason.Last edited by cath007; Fri, Jan 16th, 2026 at 06:12 PM.

RCSS had 110g bags of Nestle Mix-Ups snack candy for $0.24 each. I bought 28. i don't normally buy things like chocolate, but this price was just too good to pass. b will probably (hopefully!) give most of them away to the neighbourhood kids.

Saw a man and his two kids playing in the snow and immediately opened a bag to share.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I want to do this but this makes me hesitant.
For a $10 Visa prepaid card in Canada, expect an activation fee around $3.95 to $4.95 plus tax, though lower-value cards can sometimes have lower fees, but often these small denominations (like $10) aren't readily available or have less common fees, with more standard fees for $20-$50 cards, so always check the package at purchase. The fee is paid upfront when you buy it, reducing the initial usable balance, and it's a one-time charge, according to Frugal Flyer and Canada.ca.
But what does it mean, "The fee is paid upfront when you buy it, reducing the initial usable balance". So when you receive the card, the fee is already taken?
