It seems that there are not as many coupons and deals for food in the last few months.
Would be really nice to see some brags for food items.
Would love to learn where these deals are.
Looking for brags about meat, fish, fruits and veggies. Miss hearing about cheap or free oatmeal brags.
Thanks!

Gonna answer my own question, thanks to SarahS83 posting the Food Basics and No Frills flyers that start Friday. I see some great prices on fruits and veggies - like mushrooms for $0.75 (FB)! And no coupons required.

I honestly haven't had any good food deals lately, not including the two recent FPC for the cereal and granola bars. Although I did buy those Butterball turkey burgers for less than $3 a few weeks ago.

best food brag was from a week a go, our new Longo's had fresh corn on for 10 cents a cob, it was so yummy.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

My best food brag this week is free Catelli pasta. $1 per box and I had two $1 websaver coupons. I often get the large tub of Astro Original yogurt for 99 cents using a $1 off coupon. It may be less OOP in the East when it goes on sale but in BC $1.99 seems to be the best sale price.
So many coupons....so little time!

We as a family have changed what we eat and what we purchase but it's hard to get a reasonable amount of groceries without price matching which I do and coupons if you can find some for the products such as staples (milk, bread, cheese, fruits/veggies).
Anyways this week I purchased corn 6 for $1.00 FB (price matched at WM), WM had tomatoes on for .55lbs pretty good and last week I stocked up on steak at Metro (stocked until Christmas).
I think that the last 4-5 months I have really noticed a decrease in great sales or rotating sales especially on meats.
Thanks op for starting this thread.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

sorry Shwa, it is even worse for any restrictive dieting issues, the deals are almost non existent. I too appreciate the flyers Sarah posts, so I can have a price matching strategy at least on my fruits and veg.

Love long weekends. Found some fancy chicken and fancy noodles at Loblaws and got a good deal.

We eat mainly organic food and very little meat so it's difficult to find great deals. We did however pick up 20 huge bunches of organic brocolli a couple of weeks back for 19,80$. They were on sale at Coop for 1,99$ and we used the Earthbound Farm 1$ coupons on those. Blanched and froze all that so we're set for a little while. Our health food store also had 2lb organic carrots for 1,99$ as well last week so it cost us 2,97$ with coupons for 3 packages. Can't wait to have our garden planted next summer so I won't want to cry every time I have to pay for fresh produce, lol.

Grow your own if you have the space. Made ratatouille on the weekend with eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes all grown in my parents' backyard for free. The pepper, onion, and garlic were store bought for about $1 total.
