Airport spokesman Doug Yakel told the San Francisco Chronicle that car and ride sharing services do not have authority to operate at SFO and the airport is merely enforcing its current regulations until the PUC decides how to regulate the industry.
The airport sent cease-and-desist letters in April to several ride and car sharing services, including Lyft, UberX, Sidecar and InstantCab. The companies have faced criticism that they steal business from taxis and limousines.

This is such Bish, hard to believe it's a free country anymore. 2 people who agree to engage in an activity that harms no one have every right to do so, I do not care about any industry that feels threatened. Screw them!!
