So, I got over my fear and DH & I drove to another neighbourhood on Sunday night and found some goodies in recycle bins!
Lots of Red Plum & Smart Source, B1G1 Movie tickets, Free Movie Downloads, Free Minute Maid & Free Ice Cream!
It's not much but we are just getting to know what to look for.
DH asked if we were going out again tonight!

He has a desk job and he wanted to start going for walks after work, I said "Sure, but we need a new flashlight!" Once he saw all the stuff we found in the bins-he's hooked!

Does anyone ever give you a hard time or make you feel uncomfortable when your looking through their recycling? Trying to get the courage to do this. Seeing your haul sure does inspire me to get out there

I'm envious of all the SmartSources...I couldn't even find ONE last week in the papers. And I've never even SEEN a Red Plum much less had one in my possession.
I'd like to figure out where to go diving but I have no clue!!

I went to a different part of town (where no one knows me lol!) and it was around 10:00 PM. I stayed away from houses with people sitting out or in windows. There was one person who saw us & clicked his car alarm & another guy opened his door & looked out so we went around the corner. Whenever cars would go by we went up on the sidewalk to look innocent!
There is a guy in town who drives around on garbage night & picks up scrap and I always used to roll my eyes when I would see him go by-that night we saw him & I'm sure he rolled his eyes at us digging in bins for flyers!!!
We were out there for a couple of hours with a break at Tim's in between but we got to know the best streets so we can avoid the ones we didn't find much on next time.
