Cath007,do you have a cell phone that takes photos?Or a webcam on your computer? You could use either one.An insurance agent suggested I make a photobucket account online and store my pictures there,or/and email them as an attachment to myself.

So sorry this happened to you! That complete violation of your personal space is such an aweful feeling and its so unfortunate about the insurance company.

Home Depot has started this awesome thing where they will email you your receipt from the checkout, I wish other companies would start doing this, it would make it a heck of a lot easier to keep a digital record of important purchases. I have reciepts that are essentially white peices of paper because the printing faded off, any receipts over a year old or more are completely useless

My advice to everyone, KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS. Keep your serial numbers too. Keep ALL OF IT.

This is such a headache. Why would I have a receipt for a computer I purchased four years ago?

The people I have in my life have been really incredible too me after everything, letting me borrow their things and such, but honestly, I just don't know what I'm going to do if I can't get this replaced.
    That's really stupid.

People buy things ( especially electronic ) things ..like Ipods , Iphones , TV's and also furniture etc ..all the time of Kijiji , Craigslist , Moving sale etc ..you never have receipts for that ..so they are not covered ??

Most store receipts , you can't even see anything on them after a year or so , its almost like a blank paper ..as the ink fades off

Complain to higher authorities or even the Ombudsman if they don't deal with this.

File a police complaint for the robbery too & give them the list that was stolen.
