Walmart SUCKS for customer service period. They are for the MOST part rude, tactless, arrogant, judgemental, uncurteous and argumentative.. They also don't listen before they get their facts straight. I have really only ever had 3 cashiers that were nice. The rest were ignorant. That might sound harsh but Walmart doesn't mind becuase that is what they train their customer service and cashiers to be like to theri customers. Thats what we are paying for. They aren't much interested in anything else but getting your money out of your pocket and into theirs. I only say this from experience with them. If they did care, they would show it thru training and customer service and manners. But despite people making them aware this is a problem, nothing changes. So I figure they dont' mind.

the same kinda thing happened to me a while back when the Ziplocs were on sale at WM for 1.48 and i tried to use my save $4 WUB2. the cashier argued that it "wasn't fair" that I got money back on products for using coupons, which i pointed out to her wasn't my fault, and it was the store policy. there was a huge crowd of people that ended up yelling at her cause i was arguing with her for 15 minutes, and she called other cashiers over to her and they agreed with her, until i saw a cashier that i had used a couple times with a bunch of coupons that finally said she can do it.. and still she called the store manager after to double check -.- i ended up only paying .02 and she looked MAD. but i smiled
its hard couponing when im only 17
people give me weird looks alllll the time

you need to email home office at walmart.ca and tell them the store and the cashiers name time etc..the transaction numbers on your receipt. you should never be made to feel this way

I'm really sorry you feel this way. At our local Wal-Mart I find the entire staff pleasant and helpful. Even though I know they are overworked and short staffed they always take the time to be pleasant with me. All the regular cashiers know I coupon, and I feel comfortable going to anyone's till.
I think as a shopper with "special needs" (not disabled just a very big couponer) I try to stay as diplomatic as I can when dealing with the cashiers. I don't think they pay them enough to deal with crabby customers all day. I can always speak with the manager if they get out of hand but I have never needed to. (at least not at Walmart).

Ohh man!! This sounds all to familiar to what I have just recently experienced at walmart- at the customer service desk!! I told her at first I had lots of coupons, and then she was just sooo rude about it slamming the products down on the desk and huffing and puffing and almost blowing the house down! LOL, but no it was a really nasty experience, I wonder if this is the same walmart!?! Sounds like the exact same person!!

Don't contact head office. First things first you must always go up the chain of command. First contact the store manager, file you complaint with them. They will probably give you a gift certificate for your troubles. lf at that time nothing is done then you go higher up the chain. lf you don't start at the bottom not much is usually done. Give the store manager to fix the problem in there store first. You will see more results that way.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, sooner or later it was going to happen. Before I used coupons I sit in the car and say to myself, You will stay calm, smile, be polite and patient, this is going to be a smooth transaction and take 10 deep breaths. Then I go to use a coupon and they start to read it and I can feel the blood rushing to my head, " but sir " What! NO I can use it, then when I get back to the car I have to breath slowly again to bring my blood presure down. LOL! join the gang!

That is to bad, I live in a very small town and the cashiers are not used to coupons, and when I go shopping, I use a lot of coupons. I check all my coupons before getting to the store, I know my coupon policy. Sometimes a cashier will give me a hard time with 1 per purchase. She assumes that it means 1 per transaction. The first few time I didn't argue, I just didn't by what ever items she didn't let me use a coupon for. (you should of seen all the stuff I left there). Now I carry with me a coupon policy that I printed out. I don't have as much problems anymore.
Never stop couponing, the cashiers will eventually get use to us!!!!!

That is just terrible. sorry about your bad experience. I would contact the manager of the store and complain. Maybe he can have a meeting with all the cashiers and get them on board better. No one deserves that treatment.

Mainly I never have ANY problems with WM, I did have one a few months back with a snobby cashier who refused to let me use more than one of any coupon I had... had to leave a LOT out. But then I soon realized that I am the customer and I know I'm right (usually) and I deserve quality service. So I do a few things to ensure my shops go well at cash, for one if there seems to be ANY issue with a coupon I try to explain it to the cashier and if they don't get it still I ask them kindly to call CS, OR if CS disputes me as well I make them call their manager. I usually run into very crabby people behind me so I pick and choose the appropriate times to go, also if I do see a few people lining up behind me I tell them that I have coupons before they start unloading their cart that way I at least told them about the wait.
The other day I had some very rude people behind me "hurry up, man we have to sit here and wait just because she wants to save a few dollars" I ignored them and just stood with a smile, when the cashier told me my OOP (.46cent) I made sure to ask her again so that the people behind could hear me... one turned her head and was like "holy sh**" LOL. Had to show them that "a few dollars" was actually over $80 .. hah
