I joined Greenfieldonline and get a survey almost every day, sometimes even 2 of them. And there are others that I belong to that pay nothing but like Greenfield, a chance to win a sweeps.

Surveys that pay in points towards a cashout or something are ok but these cheap companies like the one I stated above and a few others should be boycotted in my opinion. If you are in the US and join Greenfield, they have paying surveys and also chance surveys.

If people stopped doing all these "chance to win a prize" survey companies, maybe they would change their tune and anti-up with some cash.

    My Opinion anyway.

I agree with you. I have done a few surveys with greenfield... meh.

but the ones that send me $5.00 Amazon GC/survey, those are awesome! Ive accumulated in this past little bit $20-$25 dollars for amazon!

I also like hotspex. even though your points can let you enter contests, there are great chances of winning. My mom won a GC from there and i was also on a panel with hotspex and they sent me a $75.00 cheque.

I also recieved a $4.00 cheque from American Consumer Panel yesterday..

and a $7.50 cheque from Opinion Outpost a month ago..

even though its small ammounts, its nice to know you are actually getting something for your time!

Totally agree with you. I get a survey from greenfield almost daily, take between 15-40 min to complete and then you never win anything. Now I just delete their email. These company get paid lots of moneyto conduct research. If they were to paid their members atleast a dollar for doing each survey I am sure they would still make a profit.

When I do panel study I sometimes get paid between $55-$80 an hour, or for taste test its $15 for 1/2 hour, if these research companies, that have a physical overhead cost, can paid each person for their time I don't see why a online research comapany can not do the same.

Personally I like survey lion. They paid $5 for most survey and you can cash out at $10. The only thing is you don't get that many survey from them.

Back in 1999/2000 I used to do Gozing.com surveys. They always paid like $4 a survey which was usually watching a movie trailer or a proposed TV commercial.
Guess who owns them now? Our friends at Greenfieldonline and even though its still called Gozing, they do not pay. Just chances at winning something.

I am also signed up with opinionoutpost and I don't care for their system either or some of the others that give you points. I mean they say at the beginning of the survey that it pays 5 to 50 points for doing it.
Most of them you need 5 million points to get $5

If they are not paying $$$$, they can find someone else who has time to invest 20 minutes for a chance to win a sweeps because this guy isn't doing surveys free for these people.

I gave up on Greenfield. I was busting my butt doing those surveys just to win a prize. 20 minutes and longer for each survey!! They were coming in like everyday. I actually received like 2 paid emails from them but I was screened out right away! Oh well......keep trying with other companies:o)

Sure, Greenfield sends surveys daily because they pay very little out.
Survey Lion pays, thats about the only one I do now. They only send a survey once or twice a month because they Pay People.

The sooner people stop doing all these FREE surveys for them, the sooner they will have to offer people something for doing them.

I've recently stopped doing surveys that don't pay. Greenfield is the one that annoys me the most but also the one I've been doing the longest. I've never been offered money, just a chance at a prize.

I think I'm going to quit doing Inbox Dollars... They say they pay you $1/survey - sounds great, but I've only been credited for two surveys. Quite often I'll get near the end of a survey, and then it'll disqualify me because I'm Canadian, or the wrong age, or give a 'wrong' answer, etc. I emailed the site and they said they couldn't do anything about it.

I had a super-long survey for Seattle's Best drinks, probably took me about 20 minutes, and they DQ'd me on the last page. I sent an email to their company, and they got back to me saying something to the effect of 'sorry that you felt inconvenienced, but we have no affiliation with Inbox Dollars.'

It's just all too fishy for me.

But with the ones that offer "chances" to win, you should know this when you sign up, or when they send you surveys, no?

I seldom do those unless I have time.

What I mean is... I don't know what the complaint is because you know you're doing the surveys for a "chance".

What I do agree is that our time is probably worth more than unknown/hour, or $1/half hour (which is about what Inbox Dollar pays).

With Inbox Dollars, I haven't had as many problems with them sending me surveys I definitely will not qualify for. Have you checked if your "profile surveys" are accurate, Kristin?

What I like about Inbox Dollars is that if you have time, you have more chances to complete surveys because they have new surveys almost daily, or a few/week, opposed to the higher paying ones that send you a $5 survey once every few months.
There is more earning potential if you have time.
