I know that Canadian companies aren't as hardcore coupon givers as the American companies. I just wanted to know if there was a way that, by using Canadian coupons you could get the huge stockpiles like they do, and the same way. They get so much stuff and pay so little for it. I want to know if there is a way that us Canadians can too.

I am new to this couponing as well. Only took it serious...hmmm I'm going to say since March. you can use multiple coupons, but have to all have different barcodes at london drugs which makes it easy to get items as dirt cheap. Also price matching helps when you notice something is on sale and you have coupons, you can bring your flyer to london drugs to price match the sale price and use multiple coupons getting items for free. Correct me if I'm wrong advanced couponers! =]

I wish we have London Drugs here in Ontario...
What I had been doing is keep collecting coupons, you might not be able to use them right away, but once the deals come, get them fast!
I am only 4 weeks into couponing, and so far, I have got 2 big bins of products, including skin care and household cleaning products....
Being a SC makes my life so much fun!

I have a bunch of coupons just sitting here waiting until we move on the 5th so we can use them. The coupons here though just aren't enough to get things for super free, especially cleaning supplies and food. They get all sorts of stuff for completely free and pay under 20 bucks for like 300-400 dollars worth of groceries. It just amazes me and makes me wonder why we can't do it here.

You can get stuff for free here in Canada, but free is usually paying tax. You need to collect coupons and wait for the awesome sale. I have been couponing since May 2011 and I have a stockpile that includes a lot of free or near free items.
Patience is the key here.

My London Drugs is over a half hour away and it's in a mall that really isn't accessible friendly. Guess I'll just have to watch for sales, price match and try to get things for the lowest price possible at Walmart or RCSS.

Ah, patience... That one skill I lack very much of. I will try my hardest, and thank you!

I don't know what to stack or even how to stack.

Everytime i try and stack at London Drugs, i can't. All most coupons always have "cannot be combined" ... and the Walmart near me does not stack. Tried today and could not do it. Very frustraing. I keep reading on SC that these stores do it, but whenever i try i cannot do it!!!
I live Cloverdale, B.C. Apparently the Price Smart does not do it either>

I would save if you use the show "extreme couponing" as the norm, then the benchmark you set woould be too high. yes, they live in the states, and they can stack more easily than canadians. However, those ppl know they would be on the show, so they probably buy a lot of newspaper and dig through the recycling bin before the show, so that they can impress the tv audience with the massive haul and pay nearly nothing.
I live in Ontario, so I can't stack easily. I just started couponing few months ago after watching the show. I think I have a decent stock pile now... with food, household, beauty items, and pet items. I set a target to get the transaction to 30% of original price, but I usually can get my grocery bill to 10% of original price.
Cheers!

to the OP. If you're planning on couponing ''American style'' here in Canada you're in for a very rude awakening.
I saw that you live in Ontario so my comments and guides will be based on your location only.
We don't have as many coupons as the states does but our coupons are often of higher value, since we can't stack like they can. There are no stores in Ontario that will let you stack. But there is WM that will give you overage.
I know that patience is very hard ( I was one of those too) but patience is the key. You must keep your coupons and wait for a great sale.
I have saved 3.329,29$ since January using coupons ( based on the sales price) or 8852.47$ (based on regular price). I did get tons of items for free ( paying only the taxes) or close to it many times during these 27 weeks. My stock pile includes every item you could think of. ( see this post http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/219645-...s-pics-canada/)
I would rather pay .13 cents for a can of sauce than 2.99$. So no I don't get the item for free but 13 cents is very good in my book.
Don't base your self on the show ''extreme couponing'' to coupon in Canada. You will be very disappointed if you do. That show was not made for us Canadians to use as a base but for our entertainment only.
More often then not you can bring your ''regular'' grocery down to about 25 to 35% of it's real value and sometimes much higher, like 75 to 80% off. But if you're hoping to save 99% it's quite impossible in Canada.
best of luck to you..

Wow. You know what your doing! I live in Ontario as well, I just started coupling around the start of June/end of May. I have a decent amount of coupons, but nothing all that special either. Most of them are like 75c - 1$ off, and to ke, it seems like it would even make a big difference. I know it does, but is there a better way to get more out of it?

I don't base my couponing around the show. Just for me, even getting that high of percentage seems impossible for me. I'm not experienced at all, nor do I have anyone around that can help me. I am gettingore and more patient, and really hoping that when I move, they will have some great sales on.

I learned from SC. This forum is a great help to new coupon users.. Check the list of weekly deals published everyweek that'S a good start. Always bring your coupon with you while shopping you never know what special you might find.
Joining sales with coupon is the way to get the best deals. Look around this forum and you'll find tons of people ready and willing to help you along the way.
I hope I did not come across as rude because that was not my intent. It's just that some people see the show and tr to replicate it here in Canada, which is impossible. I just wanted to make you aware of it
check the forum threads often and I'm certain you'll find help..You can find deals under this link.
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/canadia...-deals-flyers/
And under the bragging section you can also find local deals
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/canadia...ng-discussion/
If you are unsure just ask. The more experienced couponers will help you with pleasure.
happy couponing and welcome to the world of savings
