Shopping with a 3 1/2 year old grand daughter and an overstuffed coupon binder, plus a LD Stacking binder, plus a bag with 2 shoeboxes filled with cpns, in a shopping cart that is way too small, can be intersting....lol!!

WE started off with many " I want this" and "I want that" till I knelt down in the middle of the food isle and had a serious chat with the little wanting monster....lol!!

After that we were back on track, and she was walking with me, as her usual shopping cart seat was occupied by the 2 binders!!

Sadie was informed by me that we could not buy this and that, and what ever she asked for unless I had cpns and it was free, or almost free.

So off we went, me moving stacks from binder to holding envelope, to hand in later on at the customer service desk. Sadie was told by me what item to pull off the shelf and to put it in the cart. This was a good compromise and worked quite well, with me keeping a strick eye on her grabbing other things to add to the cart.....lol!! No no, we only need one of those....lol!!

Finally we came to the GUM toothbrush display and I hauled out those cpns and asked her to choose 6 free toothbrushes which she chose well indeed, 3 for her, and 3 for the adults, unless one of us decided to use a lion, bear or kangaroo toothbrush....lol!! This was after she made a beeline for the DORA Colgate battery toothbrush.........
this was a great opportunity for a brand recognition lesson...show cpn to 3 yr old girl clutching toothbrush she wants, and then point out that it says Colgate...in red, and then pull Green Gum brush and match it up with a green Gum cpn......she got that quickly..lol!!

Anyhow.we survived the trip......and came home to move things to the storage room area.......

I was in there packing away the goodies.and in walks Sadie........
she peers up at the shelving packed with stuff...and says,

    ""its all fweeeeeeeeee!!!!""

God bless her little cotton socks, she is a up and comming SC member!!

Sadie got to choose a pack of REal Fruit treats for herself after we finished, 50c cpn only, had no stack, but she is worth it....I grabbed a spare cart and parked her tiny butt in the cart seat, and she enjoyed them watching us, while I was finished up my purchases at customer service........ she actually is a great shopping companion........

    Total savings were $`192.30c
paid $22.80, including taxes of $8.83
    everything was free,8 x Tums, 3 x Gaviscon, 6 x Gum toothbrushes, 5 x Neuman Own Pasta sauce, 3 x Salad dressing......6 x Off, Advil,
except the Duracell batteries 2.000 stack off 8.00 pack (forgot I had another cpn for that at home.ak)
her fruit snack and my Zout purex I paid a bit for.......

all in all I am now well stocked up with Tums that will not expire till 2016.....yikes!!
Paid 1.00 for 2 Avenno hair products, one of which had bonus full size hair creme!!
    I love my local LD!!

Very awesome story my daughter sounds like her too. As long as they can help pull stuff from the shelves and put in the cart it usually works out great Can I ask which LD in Calgary you use I use the one in Sunridge?
