actually this does work but not recommended. very unhealthy and could have many side effects. as a teen i starved myself daily with binge eating. i was 110lbs which was under weight for me.the lowest was 108 and it was hard getting there. if i knew then what i knew now oh forget it i proably still would have done it! not very healthy though and i would never jepordize my health like that again!

When I went to my doctor (another reason) I told her that I was having trouble losing weight and hoping for some suggestions. She told me (her words) 'Stop Eating'.
My indicator that tells someone they are full is broken. I rarely, if ever, feel full. I can eat a meal and go to eat again. No fullness gauge. That's a real problem for me.

Hi,
I used to be pretty obese and started putting on a lot of weight especially on my thighs and bottom in my late thirties. I started exercising as often as possible and also cut down on a lot of high calorie stuff. Unfortunately I hardly managed to lose much weight at all. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed that she managed to lose nearly half of her weight using a particular weight loss supplement. I tried it out and it actually worked quite well. Within 4 months I managed to lose about 65 pounds. The results were pretty amazing and I feel so much healthier and energetic now. You can read more about the lady's article at

Strength training is suppose to be really important...muscle is what burns the fat and speeds up metabolism. Also, eat often! You should eat every 2-3 hours, to keep your metalolism going...just eat healthier/lighter foods like veggies and fruit.

LOL! Put the fork down!! Just kidding!! This might help:
-Drink ice water- it tricks your body into thinking it's cold, so it burns more fuel to warm you up
-Eat spicy foods- these make your metabolism speed up
-For me-high protein, low carbs-this also helps build muscle
-There is a book-Eat Right For Your Type (AKA Cook Right For Your Type-same book). It helps you decide what is beneficial and not so beneficial based solely on your blood type. It really does work!!
-Fidget!!
-Instead of 2 scoops of sugar, only have one
-FIBRE!!!
-NO fast food!
-Bake your fries instead of deep frying
-Use less PB/butter/jam/mayo on your foods- You still get all the flavour!
-Low fat plain yogurt instead of sour cream-tastes the exact same!
-Limit red meats

Water every chance you get.
Take your body weight and divide it in half then convert that to ounces...
Drinking that much water everyday helped me drop 10lbs in a month.
With exercise and the right diet of course. Its was pretty fantastic.

It is too bad that society has made being skinny the norm. Young girls should not have to live life feeling that they do not measure up in todays society. That is where all these eating disorders come from and thinking that popping pills is the answer. If you just eat healthy and live an active live style and be happy with yourself.

Now that I am turning 50, exercise has to be a regular part of my life. I try and eat healthy, limit the fast food and do some activity every day, weights a couple of times a week.

you should go see a specialist if you'd like.there are healthy eating specialists and many many other ones...my family doctor said the same to me...he said " why dont you just eat"..i couldnt!
It was pretty disheartening to hear that from him..if i could just eat i think i have the 2 cents of common sense to do that without making a trip down to you

My best friend went through a yr of h*ll dealing with thyroid issues, until she had surgery to remove it.
If you're having problems either losing weight or gaining weight, get a blood test to check for thyroid. But not just the regular test, but there is an advanced test to check T3 & T4.
