Are you tricskaidecaphobic? Don`t know if that`s how to spell it, but ... will you be going to Port Dover tomorrow ? Will you be going out at all? 13 has always been a bit lucky for me - but..... Maybe I'll wear an aluminum foil hat.

British Medical Journal which analyzed the relation between health, behavior, and superstition surrounding Friday 13th in the United Kingdom by comparing the ratio of traffic volume to traffic accidents on Friday the 6th and Friday the 13th over a period of years found that, "The risk of hospital admission as a result of a transport accident may be increased by as much as 52%. Staying at home is recommended." While there does not appear to be hard evidence to support the claim, it has been suggested that $800 to $900 million are lost each Friday the 13th (Roach 2004) as a result of people avoiding travel, wedding plans, moving, and so on.

the bikers come to town! it's a tradition that started in 1981, the bikers gather every friday the 13th, and not just biker-gang type bikers, but all bikes are welcome.. my neighbour goes every time with his friend, says it's a great time
i borrowed this from wiki:
The event has been described as "the biggest single-day motorcycle event in the world,"[4] a title also claimed by the Rolling Thunder rally in the United States.[5] Although hundreds of attendees arrive during winter months,[4][6] attendance is at its highest when the date falls on a summer day. In August 2010, the rally drew more than 150,000 attendees.[7] Estimates for the July 2012 event ranged from 90,000 to more than 170,000.
just to put that in perspective, the population of Port Dover is under 7000.

I lived in and near Port Dover for a few years.
It is a great party every Friday the 13th.
Everything is so fun and peaceful. There is drinking, entertainment, things to buy, friends to be made.
I am too busy today to go, but it is for sure going to be a wild and happening place tonight, always is when the weather is still niceLove like crazy everyday and smile.

We visited Port Dover once when it wasn't Friday the 13th it is a very small community most of the time. beautiful little town with a lovely beach that you can walk out into the water for a long ways. Not superstitious at all.
