My dads VCR just broke He is not ready to embrace technology and simply start using his DVD player, or up grading to a PVR…
"But what would I do with all my old tapes…"
Does anyone know where I could buy a new VCR? Just a VCR? I’ve only checked a few stores and they only seem to carry DVD/VCR combo’s for prices up to 200$... Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks! This thread is currently associated with: N/AKeep Smiling!

Hi, I'm not from Manitoba, but couldn't resist your post. I still use a VCR and have two spares in the basement from my sister!
Try freecycle if you are a member, or post an add asking for one on Kijiji - honestly, lots of people have them sitting around and just aren't using them.
Or ask around your friends, other family members, workmates...
Good luck!

Do you know how much?
I mentioned a second hand one to my Dad and he is convinced that either the remote won't work, or someone is just trying to pawn it off because it either eats tapes, records with squiggly lines, won't rewind... Love him to pieces but he is a grumpy old man Don't tell him I said that LOL! Thats why I am hoping to find one new, if such a thing even exists still...Keep Smiling!
