I was lucky cause DD is in daycare and at the time she was the youngest, she would see all the kids go potty so she wanted to

DS is in daycare 2 days a week. He'll be moving to the preschool side next month where he'll be the youngest so I'm hoping that'll help.

DD was awful! It was like pulling teeth. We started just after her 2nd birthday and tried everything until just after her 3rd birthday. Then we gave up. Decided to take a break. Low and behold she did it herself! lol. Around 3.5 she was trained both day and night.

I'm hoping DS is faster! Especially since we're starting later. He currently sits on his potty but doesn't do anything. lol

Speaking of potty business.... Not sure what the general consensus is...

I get to the school early to pick up DD so I let DS play. Right before the bell was to ring I got DS back in the stroller so that we could get home quickly. Anyway, as I'm doing that I look across the small field/kindergarten yard I see a mother running her son to the fence. He was about 3. And I'm sure he peed!!!!

I was shocked and pretty upset. I would never let DS do that. There's always a bathroom somewhere! Even if it means your other kids have to wait for you to get back to pick them up.

She could of ran into the main area or even knocked on the kindergarten door and I'm sure they would let him in.

Am I over thinking it? I mean he was 3.... Or???? Just curious since this is the 3rd time I've seen a parent let a young boy pee somewhere inappropriate.

I dont agree with that either...
We always find a way to a toilet.
To me that is showing them that it is okay to do that when its not

Sorry that I haven't been on much to chat lately.....I feel bad.
I just thought I should give you ladies an explanation of why....I hope that is OK!

I have been having problems with recurrent bladder infections for the past 3 months and lots of pain in my pelvis area and my you know that personal area. lol
Anyway, I have been for many tests and to many doctors and I found out I need reconstructive surgery on my urethra. I have what you would normally think of cysts in that area but it isn't really cysts it is holes in my uretha. It isn't really seen very often and there isn't anything they can give me for the pain until I get the surgery done to fix it. I am on another week of antibiotics to clear up the bladder infection but I will keep getting bladder infections until they fix my urethra. I am just a little bummed!

Buddy I hope you get your package sooner than Wednesday I am so excited for you to receive it! I sure hope you like it!

Oh wow Norma, that's awful. I hope it gets fixed quickly and you're not in much pain!

Norma feel better. Lola I would agree that the peeing on school property is inappropriate. I do not have a problem with young children going outdoors, but it must be an appropriate location. Our 2.5 yo does not have a great bladder. If we are not sure if there is a washroom close enough, we bring her little potty in the trunk. Schools have washrooms.

I agree with Granger that is what we had to do with our youngest son he couldn't hold it. We never let him in public or if there was a washroom around but when he couldn't hold it he couldn't hold it! We always brought the little portable!
