In a day and age when accessing the internet as easy as turning on your phone or logging into countless WiFi hotspots on a laptop...
How long have you gone without accessing the internet?
...Clearly you'll have to start that streak again, since you're reading this

A day.
However, not looking forward to next week with our move, may be without it longer.
We just have a desktop, no other way to access it.

7 glorious days when we went to Cuba on vacation in April. Turned our phones off and put them in the security box and didn't touch them again until we were packing to leave. Most relaxing stress free week! No emails, no phone calls, no facebook etc

2 weeks
I was on holidays for that amount of time and I couldn't be bothered with checking emails, facebook etc...
Was too busy relaxing/shopping/eating/visiting places.
DH on the contrary needs it as he's self-employed. All family emails I get, he gets it too so if there's anything newsworthy, he tells me.
If I have to use the internet while on holidays, it would be to check attractions and direction, online check-in, or anything related to the holidays.

Longest I've gone in recent memory is a week, when away on holidays.
I know I won't be online for 2-3 weeks after getting married...I figure I should spend some time with my Wife right afterwards huh...? LoL.
But that's a whiles away.DANGER

When I went camping with the kids in the summer I was fully intending on not being online for the 10 days.
That did not last long.....I am a 90s child like Candini!
Where I was the internet signal was garbage and I was sooooooooo frustrated. Same thing with my cell phone signal.
I get crappy service at school too. When I am in the library I do not even have service and it is annoying.....especially when everyone who has Bell is able to get a signal....and me with Rogers is holding my phone by the window looking like a loser.
Anyways, the longest I have willfully gone without the internet would probably be for the week that I was in the hospital with DS2 when he was born. That was just over 7 years ago.
Going to be going with the girls away for New Years and I am going to try to not bring my phone with me for that as well.
It is just so hard though!Love like crazy everyday and smile.

Technically, i am always on the net because I have to keep logged into my server in case work needs me and they send updates. But as far as access to the internet, I think 9 days is the longest for me, but I have gone 3-4 days without many times this year.
When I had my GF who lived far away from me, I was on the internet every single day for years!! Can't miss those pics and lovely one liners!!
When/if I quit what I do, I will take a long vacation from the internet.Last edited by vesper; Wed, Oct 23rd, 2013 at 04:20 PM.

I go 5 days at a crack every time i go camping... lets not get drastic tho... we still take the laptops to watch movies on! (I have a power box to recharge the laptops and grind the coffee beans!... priorites yaknow!) I have been known to take breaks from technology and do really drastic odd things like... reading paper books! LOL

Few weeks when my computer died. I do have a smart phone and a router so I wasn't totally without access. I don't have a data plan and just wifi on my phone. So many places have it now.. .Tim's, McDonalds, Shopping Malls etc. I'm sure I could go a week or two without any technology.
