The registration for this site is obfuscated and it was created 16 june 2011:
I don't think I would trust that site, even if they send real gas card. Check for identity thief and /or new bizarre charges on your credit card. I hope that it will not happen to you.

Excellent point about identity theft, etc. Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll stay clear of this one.

Congratulations on your savings.
But your posting about it doesn't change my mind about it being a scam, only reinforces it.
Think about it, if they give out some gas cards and get people posting online about it, then plenty of people will try to get in on it. With a 3-4 week delivery period for the cards (if I remember correctly) they could have maybe 5000 people sending them $80 and waiting for cards in one month and they could just walk away with $400,000.
It might not be a scam but it could so easily be one. A very good one.
I'll wait and see.

I work in a bank and I am always cautious of what we in the industry call "phishing scams". these are scams that lead you to believe you have won something. They then proceed to solicit your personal information which is in turn used to steal your identity...be very very careful on this one!
