what I don't understand is when someone expires a post after you've pm'd them and they don't respond either. The request was for 2 stamps or one coupon from thier trade list. I offered 2 stamps. 3 hours after my offer, the thread is expired and I've still heard nothing.

It may be that they sat on it to accept the highest offer received in PM. The polite thing to do would be to respond & say that it was already taken.

I'm 'semi' trying to be the devils advocate here, but I will say that if you offer up items for a specific something, stop making it a personal auction for the highest bidder so you can see how much you can really get for something that more than 1 person wants - that's just greedy IMO.

I find this rude & frustrating as well. This has happened on trade requests but also I've offered someone an RAOK and they didn't have the decency to reply with a "No thanks" !! I mean, if I was asking this person face to face, would they really just turn their back to me and pretend they didn't hear me
There's a simple term for this in French, it's called "savoir vivre".
I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt and think maybe the "message read receipt" feature on this site failed ?
Couldn't get an answer from admin about this....
That being said, I think will all things Internet, the anonymity involved can also be quite "revealing".

I Agree! It is just plain RUDE!
Although, you can't always assume someone is online just cause it shows they are logged in. I am always logged in, either on my iPhone or computer.
(I actually just typed that, went and got coffee and to the post office before coming back to hit "post" LOL!!!)

I saved the PMs that i din't get a reply from in my 'sent' folder and next time when they approach me for a trade, no doubt they won't receive any reply from me either
