Woot, thanks for the confirmation. I bought so many gift cards last year, usually $100 bestbuy + $50 bestbuy It's good timing, if you pre-ordered a ps4 you can use this promo to get 24,000 points for free.

For those new, things you should know:

There's no limit to how many times you can use this promo
There's no coupon code required
You need to buy 2 gift cards totally $150 or more (any gift cards they offer there, shoppers, bestbuy, ect... you can mix and match)
You will need to do separate transactions for each 8,000 points, if you bought $300 worth of gift cards on 1 transaction you will only get 8,000 points(not 16,000) so just split them into 2 transactions.

And you need to have your SDM card scanned. Sometimes they give you issues because you don't get points usually on non SDM gift cards. Just insist they scan it because of the promo.

Costco does except the Amercian Express gift cards. Someone mentioned a TV and i think the American Express ones last time was the only CC one you could do.

does it have to be *2* cards? How about 3, 4, 5,... ? I think last year I did 4x$25 tim cards and a $50 SDM card, and I'm pretty sure that worked. Will I be able to do that again? Pretty excited!!! Hoping to do a bunch of these to get to 95 000 pts!

In years past, the Prepaid American Express, Visa and Mastercard gift cards have not counted for this promotion. Only store specific cards like Home Depot, Tims, Starbucks, etc. have counted... so be sure to read the fine print Happy shopping

Nope. I bought a bunch of the visa ones last year. I think you couldn't use them to turn around and buy more gift cards though.

ah I wish I knew what store I will be purchasing my tv.

You can do the GC promo at any store and then use the GCs at any store.

i bought visa cards last year and it worked. i think the same; u can't use a gift card to rebuy a gift card. would love to know about the air canada cards as well.
remember peeps get some shoppers cards to pay for taxes at redemption in dec.
