I did my first recycle walk today, too! I wasn't nearly as successful as you were, but I a got a few FPC's and other coupons. We seem to live in an All Bran neighbourhood, so I got a lot of cereal boxes with coupons on them.

First, props to you going out when you're pregnant in this heat. Secondly, glad you overcame your fear of bin walking and finding some great treasures.

That sounds like a great idea! How come I never thought of it? So...are you going to carry a pair of scissors next time to cut out the box coupons easier?

That's great! Our community uses blue bags so we feel weird about opening the bags, but I can't wait to get recycling bins!

Soooo jealous! I've wanted to do these walks for a while, but.. haven't yet worked up the nerve. Maybe the key is to have kids with you... do you loan them out? Lol... I could use them as a distraction as I scour for cereal box coupons...

Wish we had recycle bins, I would be out looking through those bins, like crazy. We only have those huge blue bins wich are locked. Maby it's a good thing that they are locked, cause I'd be diving into them, looking for anything that could save me money.

Having the kids with me definitly makes it easier LOL My 9 year old knows exactly what were looking for and she digs right in. We sometimes attack them from both sides, she walks one side of the street, i walk the other, she brings her treasures over, loads them in the bottom on the baby stroller, and we keep going. We cover alot of ground doing it that way, without her today, I either would have only got half what i did find, or would have had to spend an extra 2.5 hrs to make it up. She even found herself 5 colouring books that she really liked
