~No lectures please on Q-tips or natural methods or foreign objects in ears..just thought I'd share.

Just thought I would share that when we went to the states last week I saw this item at Joanns' for 9.99 U.S.

This week at Factory Direct they have it on for 5.99. If you are curious or if someone mentioned they wanted one just price match wherever sold and voila a stocking stuffer, a christmas wish fulfiled or a gift for yourself.

    Hope this helps.

Note just got the new flyers so the flyer is not avalable on line yet on website for period ceovering Dec.18-24. Still this weeks flyer being shown. But I typed in the search field "ear vaccuum" and the bottom photo showed up so the store might already be selling but if Price matching..follow below.

If you do not have the flyer (keep checking and here are the instructions to try and find faster.

    1. go to website at: http://www.factorydirect.ca/

    2. go to page 7,

    3. bottom right corner (next to the Shark item).

I saw that on tv. I wondered if it really works and is it safe?

I`ve been wondering about it too. Hubby got his ear flushed yesterday (had wax). He was reminded not to use Q-tips but I get outer ear infections and have to use them to get the gunk out.

Yes, I've seen it. How gross.

Yeah, completely unnecessary. Olive oil or and ear wax softening product with a gentle flush with the bulb will do the trick.

I sometimes look up reviews on As Seen On TV products. I find the best way to find reviews is to actually go to Amazon.com. They usually have pretty much every one of the ASOT products listed and there's usually quite a few reviews. I was really surprised to see some that I didn't think would work did.
I looked up that Wax Vac thing a few weeks ago and it had horrible reviews. Basically it has no suction at all.

My DS has a narrow ear canal in one ear, that ear is just shaped differently, wondered if something like that would work. Recently he had a piece of wax that was in there loose, making a sound in his ear when he moved his head, but too big to get out! I plucked it out with tweezers (don't worry, didn't have to go inside really, wasn't anywhere near an eardrum).

I know it is a touchy area and I thought for babies, if they are calm and not moving or even adults. I did not really expect a Dyson effect but just enough to clear the canals. I have no idea. Asked DH for one for Christmas so if Santa approves to buy it, I will let you know. For 5.99 I thought what the heck..

I'm sorry to hear about some issues mentioned here-when I was young I had a problem one time because my parents did not use Q-Tips and I had to get them flushed. I came out of that office -I could hear a pin drop 2 provinces away-I swear but sometimes just to have a little back-up..I thought it might be worth a try. Thank you everyone for sharing all of your input..If I get one I will post. Happy Holidays everyone!!
