I just did some massive cleaning out of my closets and found a bunch of shoes and clothing that I have never worn. Rather than donating them to the Salvation Army or Value Village, I would rather give them to a charity that would directly give them to someone in need.. Are there any in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area? I have heard of organizations where they distribute clothing to women on low income who are just starting out in the workforce and need some appropriate work wear. Thanks.

I would personally donate to women's shelters, a lot of the women there have just fled abusive relationships with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.
I'm not sure what exactly you have for shelters like that in vancouver, but here in Kamloops we have one that houses women and children, and from what I know they love donations of things like that.
