So I bought $1000.00 worth of the PC gift cards on Tuesday, got the 200,000 bonus points. I told my sister about the deal and she tried today buying $1200.00 worth and didn't get any points, so she called me and asked what she could have done wrong. So I logged on too here and started to read about everyone's shopping trips today. I started to get a little worried that they might take my point away, so I jumped into the car and went to the Valumart and wanted to redeem my 200,000 points on $200.00 worth of PC gift cards and the cash register wouldn't allow it. Cancelled that order and decided to run around the store and grab $200 worth of groceries, I wasn't paying close attention to what I was buying I was more worried about them taking the points back. So I get to the cash, ring my order in and it comes up to $200.81, I was absolutely amazed at the total being so close to the $200 mark because you should have seen me running through the isle's like my hair was on fire! I was able to redeem 190,000 bringing my out of pocket down to $10.20. So I was happy that I didn't lose my point, but when I got to the car and looked at my receipt I noticed that I didn't get any new points. I was shopping fast so I don't remember if any thing I put in the cart had points on them but I thought something did. When I got home I looked at the flyer and look online at my bonus offers and I didn't buy any of those items, but now I'm really worried that PC has made some changes to the program that if you are redeeming your points you won't be getting any points on what you are buying. I hope I'm wrong But if any one can see anything that I should have gotten points let me know PLEASE!This thread is currently associated with: Valumart

I don't know if any of those items have (in store) points associated with them (some personalized offers perhaps) but what I am concerned about is -- what are they going to do if they go into the system to try to revoke those points and they have been spent? Will they go after the gift card balances (can they do that?) Best case scenario is, they put your PC points balance in to the negative so you won't get any more points until those have been "payed back." I really don't like how they handled their own error, if they take back the few points that I earned yesterday after giving them $104 of my money (this is money that they now have regardless of whether I have products or gift cards) then I don't think I'll be shopping at their stores any longer. I rarely get points from this program, it looked like they finally did something for their customers but it was all a mistake that they scurry to take back.

I don't think they can touch the gift cards, I paid cash for those! They can put me in the negative all they want, I just won't use that card anymore and get a new one. I was so excited about this program, I might have even said I liked it better than Shoppers but I'm not so sure now. I'll try to get the finish dish washing tabs and clementines tomorrow and then I'll know which is my fav!!!!

i dont think there will be an issue, they prob wont put you in the negative. With shoppers once i had redeemed for a mega redemption, i had to return an item i had bought at the 20X the points before (but i had like 10 points left), they returned item scanned my card, was supposed to get 100 points taken off but it only took the 10 and reset it to 0.
I went to try to buy some and scanned my pc plus card and the manager was at me in a second saying this dosent qualify, i said thats fine i just want to scan my card anyways, cant I? i had thrown in a few non gift card items, she said no, i walked out. ILl buy them thsi weekend then

I shopped at Loblaws tonight to use up the points that I got from my shopping trip the other day (when gift cards were included in the $100 towards the 20,000 pts deal) and I decided to buy a few more points items to increase my total since they had the finish for 5,000 pts and clementines for 2,000 pts plus a few other items that I actually wanted this week. I think I did OK, I spent around $45 and got about $85 worth of stuff (it being "free tax day" helped too, I saved over $5 in tax.) When I left the store, I noticed something odd that I didn't have time to calculate until I got home... the 2,000 pts for clementines showed up twice but I wanted to add up all the points manually to be sure that it actually was added twice in the total. Somehow, I got free clementines because of the double points. Hopefully they won't come after me for those points too, lol. Has anyone else had this happen when buying clementines? And in case anyone is wondering, no, the clementines were not included in my personal offers this week.

holy crap! as soon as I read your post,it reminded me that I wanted to look at my receipt...and yes I got double points for my box of clementines too. hopefully they won't take these points back...probably too small an amount...and we weren't trying to get points for something they said wasn't eligible...but who knows. too bad clementines are perishable or I would be running back for more.
