Current Insert Coupons 2014

This will probably seem like a stupid question to most of you, but I'm new here and don't quite understand....

What is the point of posting these coupons? From what I understand they can't be printed and re-used. There seem to be many threads like this, but most require that the bar-code be blacked out. What's the benefit of posting pictures of the coupons?

I'm sure the answer is obvious, but I can't quite understand

So we can have a visual of all the coupons out there. So if I go to the store I know what a specific coupon looks like to look out for. Or if I didn't get my coupon insert then I know what is in it and what it looks like so I can trade for them. Its basically like a directory so people can make a wishlist of what coupons they want to trade for.
