I've been checking Target daily, and it's still at 70% off. In the US, some Target stores had 90% off yesterday, with the rest following suit today (January 4). They say that this markdown happened last year in the US on Saturday, January 5.

Since it's our first after-Christmas clearance in Canada, we don't really know what to expect, so I'm hoping that people can post to this thread to alert us all to the change in sale percentage if (and I hope it's just WHEN) they see it! I've been obsessively reading different threads looking for any mention of a change, and I think it would be easier for everyone to post it in one place.

Seems like there's a lot of "hidden" Christmas clearance (bakeware, lip gloss sets, curling irons, anything with a Christmas theme) at Target in the US that gets marked down automatically by the computer to 70%-90% off. People in the US are scanning those items to see if they're included in the 70% and 90% off. It appears that stores in Canada just use clearance tags for those same items, resulting in a slower drop in the clearance prices.

They did have a big 50% off wave of clearance on toys here just before Christmas, followed by a second wave just around boxing day. I noticed today that a lot of the clearance toys were being put in one 50% off clearance section of the toy department, (they weren't all together like that yesterday) so maybe they're planning a 70% markdown on them soon.

I did find some really nice 24-piece floor puzzles in the bargain zone near the door today. The box was quite heavy, so the pieces must be pretty thick. The original price on these was $3, but they were 70% off, making them $0.90 each. They also had boxed mini Slinkies for $0.30 each. Nice loot bag gifts!

I posted in the Target 70-75% off thread that our Target just put their bagged bows at 90% this afternoon....guess the rest of the stuff will follow suit this week....I'm guessing though.

90% off! Is candies and chocolate or giftset included?

Does anyone know if all x-mas stuff are final sale? I think at WM the seasonal stuffs are final sale, not sure what's Target's policy is.

It's automatic here as well, prices drop in the system, then some items are stickered as such.

It's funny, though -- I scanned some of the tagged items marked at 50% off, and they came up at 50% off, when the clearance amount posted for Christmas stuff was 70%. I wonder if they do these manually somehow? There don't seem to be clearance stickers on the "hidden" items scanning at 70% and 90% off in the US. Will have to try again tomorrow!

All the items that I scanned at the scanner were only coming up 50-70% off.
Its only when i got to the cash that they were overriding the prices manually to 90% off

someone asked on their facecbook page, target canada don't made price adjustments on seasonal clearance items, you can refund, but can't get price adjustment. Also to confirm walmart allows price adjustments and refunds on seasonal items, I just refunded some stuff that I got from yesterday with no issues and also got price difference on a decor and christmas tree that I got on boxing day.

There was 1 sign that said 90% off in the bow section. The rest of the stuff had 70% signs still

I can say that at Square one the target christmas is only 70%. CSR said bows and wrap was 90% but when I asked him to scan it was only 70%. What's worse, not all targets are coming up with the same prices as mentioned on here. Some are 90% while other stores is 70%. Clearly the stores that are 90% are doing it manually but how come the other stores aren't getting the memo that it's supposed to be 90%?

I am guessing that the older Target stores with older inventory will have the 90% sale first. The newer Targets that opened this fall, with newer inventory may be a little later in putting things at 90%

the stickered items were stickered 50% off because they ARE 50% unlike the rest of it which is not stickered and 70% off Not ALL xmas stuff was 70%, such as the chocolates, they were 50%.

Because it's likely at their discretion at this point?
