There are plenty of things that you are thinking about and doing while you drive, other than the obvious (lets hope).
What do you do while you drive?
...are you a coffee drinker, makeup applier or international music superstar recording their album?

The only place I really get to enjoy music these days is in the car, so I totally enjoy it while I have the chance.

If I am at a red light I have been known to look at flyers or apply some cosmetics. If I am driving I usually just concentrate on that...the kid's call me a granny driver

I am bad.
I eat. Drink. Browse things. Apply lip gloss. Send the odd text message.

Listening to music is about the only thing I do while drive, other then talk to the kids in the back.
I pull over if I get a phone call or text (I'm usually not going far and it can wait until I get to my destination).
I will take a sip of a drink on the rare occasion but I won't even eat. When I was younger (about 19) I was eating a muffin and it dropped in my lap and I must have looked down for a split second because I ended up scraping my side mirror with the side mirror of a car that just pulled out (into the lane beside me). Luckily it was a very minor scrape (hardly touched) but that was enough of a close call for me. I vividly remember feeling like a complete idiot and was super mad at myself for being distracted, I was very lucky it wasn't much worse! So, now I wont chance it. I wont starve if I wait until I'm not driving to eat. lol

I have come to love those long drives to pick up DS at university - the 5 hour trip to pick him up usually involves:
- singing, and rewriting, some songs I may know a lyric or 2 in, but doesnt stop me from going all Whitney Houston diva on...
- a beverage (either a coffee or a bottle of water or pepsi)
- a meal (probably mcd's, but have once eaten chicken from KFC while driving)
but definitely not guilty of
- texting while driving
- applying makeup
- changing clothes (!!!!)
- smoking
My dad has voluntold my brother to come with me on these long trips (daddy tends to worry), but I do love having this time to myself. The average dog
is nicer
than the average person.

Singing to either my XM 60's or 70's songs and like Lil, I really do enjoy the time alone to enjoy those old tunes. I don't listen to music at home unless I put on a music channel on TV, usually The Spa or Nature...definitely NO eating or drinking of anything. I have to concentrate more as the years roll on...

Oh dear, I guess I'm bad! I eat, I drink, I sing, I load CDs - when I first got "cruise control" and I was on a long boring trip, I tried knitting, but, of course, that didn`t work! I find looking at the GPS distracting. I THINK about things. Sometimes, I get to where I`m going before I think I should be there. I think I told you all about my adventure falling asleep behind the wheel a couple of years ago. Steared myself OUT of the median without damage to car, self, or others - JUST LUCK, though. (And an earnest quick prayer to you-know-who!)

I abide by every law that there is, to the letter, and would NEVER do anything illegal.
Yes, the above sentence was a load of BS.
Now way I am going to admit my bad driving habits online.....they could be used against me in a court of law.Love like crazy everyday and smile.

Sing, air-drum, drink and eat the occasional munchies( fries, chips nothing requiring much skill). But mostly just drive and cuss out the bad drivers I encounter.
Just call me Wolfie

I love music in the car, some cds just take me to another place in my head.
Otherwise I usually LOVE a coffee in the car. If my drive is more than 10minutes usually I will buy/make a coffee to go. DF is like that too. I don't know what it is about a nice warm drink and driving.
