Thread: Help Please: Problem with Optimum Login
-
Mon, Jan 20th, 2014, 07:38 AM #1
I admittedly don't log into my optimum account too often to check on my points balance but it appears that anytime I do login, I end up having to call Shoppers and get them to "fix" something with my account but then it still takes a few hours before I can actually login. I keep getting this message:
"Sorry your session expired, please click login again "
When I ask Shoppers why this is happening and that I find it quite frustrating, I never get an answer. Does anyone know why this is happening and if there is something I can do/fix myself to solve the problem. I'm running on Windows Vista 2007.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

I've been having the same problem for many many months. I call HO and they give me a temp password so I can change it and when I do it still doesn't let me in. I'm calling again today as I haven't been able to long in for almost a year. I have no idea why it started happening. Good luck, I hope we get this fixed.

Do you have the page bookmarked? Try typing in the address or googling the address instead. Sometimes it saves the last page you were on instead of the login page. Good luck!

I had the same problem for the longest time. I then tried Google Chrome and it worked. Sometimes, there are problems with IE browser. Once you have it working, it shouldnt be an issue if you try to login atleast once a month. Good Luck.
Also, when you are trying to call, ask the rep if your account is locked. Sometimes they have to remove the as well.

Try clearing your cookies, then try again.
I use FF and go for months without logging in, so it's not a matter of how often you are using it.

Thank you for your suggestions :o) I tried all of them before I decided to try another browser as suggested by Online and Natalka and installed firefox and it worked without a problem. There must be some kind of issue with Internet Explorer so anyone else having this problem might want to try and install firefox (or possibly Google Chrome if you prefer) and then use that. I'm not a fan of using either of these browsers but if it means not having to constantly call HO to get a temp password and go through all that nonsense then I'll use those browsers just for that purpose..lol Just as a note, you can have both browsers on your computer but use the one you prefer as your default one.
Thanks again everyone!!!

I had issues this past weekend but figured it was because everyone was updating their profile for the points.
I had to reset my password, changed it to the same thing, and it worked hours later.WHATT, You aren't doing Swagbucks? http://swagbucks.com/refer/acosta22
