One Ukrainian serviceman wounded.

Former commander of U.S. Army Europe, General Ben Hodges: "The Russians are extremely effective integrating drones, UAVs of all types, and electronic warfare, and artillery rockets to spot targets and strike them with high precision within minutes. Ukrainians live in that environment." He also notes there are some 35,000-40,000 Russia-backed militants in Donbas and nearly 4,000-5,000 Russian officers, or commanders. According to Hodges, the U.S. and its European allies should tell the world more about Russia’s military capabilities in Donbas.

The sun’s peeking over the horizon, the milk’s boiling on the “burzhuyka”(field stove) and there’s much work to be done! Our furry friends just love the trenches and our soldiers love them back!!!
War is hell, and the soldiers that fight are just people – they need love too. The animals wandering around in dangerous warzones and the soldiers deployed there naturally gravitate towards each other because they need each other – the soldiers rescue animals that would otherwise remain homeless, while the animals provide soldiers with much-needed affection and warmth.

Fifty additional Canadian soldiers arrived in Ukraine to participate in the UNIFIER military training mission.
Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Waschuk informed this on Twitter.
"We are strengthening our Canadian presence - 50 additional military servicemen arrived in the UNIFIER mission. We support the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in its efforts to maintain Ukraine's sovereignty, security and stability," the ambassador wrote.
Head of the Canadian military training mission in Ukraine, Lieutenant-Colonel Kristopher Reeves noted on Twitter that "approx. 50 additional @canadian Forces members arrived in #Ukraine this morning making this the largest #OpUNIFIER contingent since the start of the mission to help train and mentor the #Ukrainian military in its efforts to maintain #sovereignty, #Security & #Stability."
In March 2017, the Government of Canada announced its decision to extend the UNIFIER military training mission for two years, until March 31, 2019.
Operation UNIFIER is the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) mission to support Ukrainian armed forces in Ukraine.

Myroslav was born on January 17, 1990 in Polonne, Khmelnytsky Oblast. Before the war, he worked as an agronomist in the Mriya AgroHolding Company. He served in the First Kulchytsky Special-Purpose Battalion.
Myroslav leaves behind his grieving mother.

OSCE observers spot militant in the occupied zone wearing the same armband previously sported by Russian members to the Joint Center of Ceasefire Coordination (JCCC). On December 14, 2017, OSCE SMM observers received a letter from the Russian Defense Ministry stating that Russia was going to withdraw its JCCC members from the Ukrainian territory. On December 19, 2017, Russian officers returned to Russia.

22-year-old Artem Skupeyko was killed by a sniper bullet near Talakivka, Donetsk Oblast on January 30, 2018.
Artem was born in Hornostayivka, Kherson Oblast. He served as senior sailor in the 160th Anti-aircraft Missile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

22-year-old Yan Putsulay died of his wounds near Avdiyivka on January 31, 2018.
Yan was from Kalabatyne, Mykolayiv Oblast. He enlisted in 2016 and served as gunner in the 79th Separate Assault Brigade.
Yan leaves behind his grieving parents.

Yaroslav Kozak, call sign "Barrka", was killed during shelling and rifle fire near Svitlodarsk Bulge, Donetsk Oblast on February 1, 2018.
Yaroslav was born on May 13, 1980 in Storozhynets, Chernivtsi Oblast. He served as senior sergeant in the 46th Battalion “Donbas-Ukraine” of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
Yaroslav leaves behind his grieving parents and daughter.
