For over a week I have not been able to leave my DH alone. We have been fine for food because we have a fridge and freezer filled with good food. I did "shop" at Shoppers today by phone as he needed some meds. They even took some coupons for a couple of products that I ordered so that the total would be over $30 to avoid the $5 delivery fee.
Update.
We are now in London Hospital. Surgery hopefully tomorrow. He got all the way to the operating room today and then it got cancelled. Big botch up. They had given him some "prep" to drink for his CT scan and shouldn't' have. So we wait. This thread is currently associated with: Shoppers Drug MartLast edited by avoncallingu; Wed, Jan 29th, 2014 at 06:48 PM.

Sometimes I think I'm crazy to have an overflowing pantry and packed freezer, but in a case like this, it's a blessing. Enjoy the fruits of your labor and hope dh feels better soon

Hope you're both ok. I sometimes wonder if I'm being insane too and I don't even have much of a stash but it's times like that when it proves difficult to get out and about that it's a blessing to have stocked up!

Best wishes for your DH; it is a good idea to have a stockpile. It's the same concept as saving for a rainy day IMO.

yes avon, I too am glad that in a pinch we would be ok not leaving the house, there is more than enough good food stocked up. Hope DH gets positive health news very soon.

Hope your DH feels better.
I completely agree twice now our stockpile has come in handy and allowed us to skip shopping and still have food to eat and not rely on take out.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
