HP TouchPad - Major price drop! *super hot deal!*

We got one at a small independent computer store in Regina Saturday morning. They had a ton and ended up selling out after about 2 hours when the news got out that they had some. Has everyone checked the small independent stores to see if they have any?

this is sucks I just check best buy website they have it on stock but wen you called them they said something else but whhy they posted if they dont want to sell is and keeped for then self

just talked with the hp cut.service and yes as anisse said above any orders that were done through hp 's website will be cancelled and wont even be charged on the credit cards its because they were sold out on friday its just website error that it was showing for purchase on the weekend.

Really? Because I just phoned HP and talked to them and the CS agent I spoke to said they hadn't heard anything about this.

Not a misprint per se. The price drop from HP was a surprise to all retailers - they probably couldn't get their flyers changed in time for printing.

It bugs me how after looking on eBay, you can see how people have bought up tons of these touchpads, and are successfully selling them for well over $100 dollars over the sale price! Always those people who will try to majorly benefit from sales like this, when others don't even get a chance!

I bought mine at staples.ca Friday night, they confirmed Saturday morning when I called their call centre, JUST got an email saying that my order was CANCELLED! Anyone know who I should complain to?

Called my staples and got wonderfull news....they have HP Touchpads in stock I was so surprised that I asked twice just to be sure.

So I drove down there (30 min drive) and an "associate" tells me:

"Uh, sorry...it turns out that HP has found a HUUUUUGE defect in the touchpads and they are recalling them all."

I asked him (this is the same guy that told me they were in stock) if they have any in stock and he went in back to check and told me that they do but that he could not sell them to me.

I was....pretty upset at this point, so I walked to my car and phoned the manager from the parking lot to complain about how I was unfairly treated and lied too (there is no defect in the hp touchpad). She would not let me file the complaint and made excuse after excuse about how the associate "didnt' know" that they had sold out, I calmly told her I had called ahead and asked him to check TWICE, still she would not listen and continued to make excuses.

Finally I left felling pretty blue and I'm thinking I should complain to corporate headquarters but I can't find a phone number or email address.
