I have two good online shopping brags.
I have decided to take control of my life and health this year in a way I have not before and so I have been working out since Janurary and finally I am starting to see some results. However in the course of doing this I realised I have a weird gait. I probably need orthodics...and possibly because of this I have muscle mass differences in my leg and back. So I have been thinking to get a consult to get orthodics as well as get a posture and gait analysis for a little while. Teambuy this week posted a local offer for a chiropractic consult, gait analysis, 250 dollars off custom orthotics, 30 minute massage, and a nutritionist consultation....all together for 29 dollars. I am on their facebook page and I comment sometimes on their photos which occasionally lands me 5 teambuy bucks. I have been saving the dollars I get for something exciting. I happen to have gotten all the above for 3 dollars thanks to following them on facebook and making comments. I am thrilled with that purchase.
Secondly my feet have been killing me when I work out and doing weights with my legs is really painful because of my shoes. I know Merrells work a small miracle for my feet but they are so darn expensive. I hate leaving expensive gym shoes at the gym. So I have been waiting for a sale on Sierra Trading Post which again I saw on facebook this week. They offered 40% off your purchase until midnight on Wednesday evening. I ended up getting 2 pairs of merrell gym shoes and these adorable sporty mary jane Keen shoes for 70 dollars. I shipped them to a relative in the US I will see next month. So I paid 80 US including shipping for three quality pair of shoes. If anyone wants 10 bucks off of your first purchase at sierra trading post PM me.This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Good for you on taking charge of your health. Orthotics are so important. You need to prevent Plantar Fasciitis. I had it for over a year and it is awful.
Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

I had it for 4 years, and it only subsided a few months ago. It was the worse thing and caused me so much weight gain because exercise became excruciating. I am looking forward to running again. Shoes are so important, I stick with Asics mobility control shoes, they help fix your gain and plantar fasciitis. To other readers, be sure that shoes are not something you look for deals on or how nice looking they are...those shoes cause major damage if they are not right for your feet. Proper footwear are something worth a big investment on. Anybody who has suffered plantar fasciitis can agree with me on that one.

I compliment you on your "savvy" shopping! I think as we use Smart Canucks, the "memory-for-coupons-and-sales" part of our brains gets bigger and bigger! Anyone looking for a Ph.D. thesis topic? We could all volunteer as subjects.

Thanks guys....I don't have a foot condition that lends itself to Plantar Fasciitis. I have supination which is essentially high arches and weak ankles that makes me walk on the side of my foot. I get pain at the front of my feet and up one leg rather than at the heal. I need support just the same but probably different support. I have found never having had orthotics that the best shoes for my foot condition are Merrells...Eccos & Tevas are also decent. This is why I use Sierra Trading Post. I can get high end shoes at around 1/4 of the price if you wait for coupon codes....or if you wait until they only have your size left. If you also need supportive shoes and lean towards a particular brand and know your size I would look at their shoe section to see if they carry what you wear. If they have a coupon code for 30-40% off thats as good as it gets there. Just be aware of the UPS custom delivery fees to Canada...and make sure the price of shipping and customs still makes it worth while. Most of the time it does...but it needs to be atleast 65% off retail....so don't buy the ones that are 35% off unless shipping to the US.
