On the road travelling for work. Did all this shop on my lunch time.
First, some SCers have been reporting that if you use your PC points in the same transaction as earning PC Plus points, they cancel out. So, bought PC gift card with points, separate transaction.
Transaction#1:
Bought $20 in PC gift cards. Paid with 20,000 PC points (= $20.00).
Transaction#2: Personal offer spend $75, receive 7500 PC Plus points = $7.50*.
Spent $77.xx. Here’s some of the items, some in multiples:
Ice melters jugs, on sale (may need it this weekend)**
PC Blue Menu peanut butter, 300 PC Plus points (in store points offer;(to food bank/pantry)
PC Tropical fruit juice, 1 L, regular $2.99, sale $0.59, expires Sept 2014, (to food pantry)
No Name “Swiffer” dusters , regular $4.99, yellow tag clearance, $2.49 ( so essentially a pink sticker)
No Name “Swiffer” sweepers, regular $4.00, yellow tag clearance $2.00
PC Blue Menu meatballs, regular $8.99, sale $5.99, PC Plus personal points offer, 1500 points (= $1.50) (RCSS has these on sale for $7.49 and an 800 in store points offer)
Friskies cat treats, regular $2.39, sale $1.19 (right at the cash, so I could not miss it; same as Target’s sale price; there’s a contest to win 100,000 on the package).
Tana leather protector spray (for boots and such), regular $10.49, yellow clearance tag, $5.24 ( so essentially a pink sticker price)
Paid 77.xx with PC card.
Used the PC gift cards (transaction#1, $20.00)
*Receive 7500 PC Plus points ( = $7.50), for spending $75+.
Received in store and personal PC points totaling 2400 points (=$2.40)
So, after points, actually paid 47.xx
Received regular PC points for spending $75.00.
Received PC points for 4 x reusable bags.
Received gas coupon for $0.02/L discount, for spending $77..xx (offer ends in April)
~61% savings
Donation to food pantry too
Gifts for friend’s cat too
**And the Ice Melter jugs were essentially free.

Really great shopping. I just redeemed points yesterday. $40 worth. And still received all the points deals in store and from my card. So at least for me I can spend points and receive them in the same transaction. However buying the gift card would assure there would be no mishaps. Plus with the gift card you could use it on little shops too where redeeming points it has to be in multiples of $20. You got great deals

Great, about the Target addiction.
But, don't forget Target's competition. Loblaws, RCSS, Canadian Tire, Metro, Walmart, etc., etc., etc.
They are fighting to get you into their store too. Especially if their store is located near a Target.
Lovin' these wars. Especially when Shwa Girls are the winners

Thanks for your comment to my brag.
Yes. It was in my rant. Target in Oshawa. Will not be going back there.

Not the other Targets -- they rock!
So I am turning a negative into a positive. If Target (Oshawa) does not make the Shwa Girl happy, somebody else will.
And, today, Loblaws stepped up their game.
Luv. Luv. Luv the competition.
And the points.
And the cheaper gas.
And the free ice melters.
And the good customer service.
And the nice cashiers.Last edited by Shwa Girl; Fri, Mar 21st, 2014 at 10:18 PM.

The Loblaws I visited, was on the road, so not the usual store (s). It was packed at lunch time.
A senior gentleman said sarcastically to his wife, "What's going on here [with the crowds]? Is it an Easter sale?"

Shwa, I love the breakdown. I also remember something happening to me where I earned the points but was not permitted to actually use the ones I had just earned for that particular shop. Is that what you mean?
