we rented and we scored! The Bob Odenkirk new release movie called Nobody.
So violent, and detailed fighting scenes.....ouch!! That stuff not really my thing....but I love Bob's acting ( Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul ) so I took the good with the bad and got through it.
Movie was a 10/10 for all 3 of us.
The guys could watch all of it, while I peeked through my fingers so I wouldn't have nightmares after.

DS and I split the cost to watch Mortal Kombat ( new release ) from On Demand.
I must say I knew nada about it ( I thought it was from a comic book, nope it's a game )
I was very entertained through all of it. Still had to shield my eyes from every darn fight scene though. Too much gore!
It really helped as DS explained each character and the back story of stuff to me.
AND there was some good comedic parts...I need that.
I give it a respectable 9/10

Nomadland
Wife loved it. Said 10/10
Me, not so much, 7/10
I think the cerebral aspect of the story just was not for me.

I don't think I have seen anything bad that Riz Ahmed has acted in and his most recent film Sound Of Metal is everything and then some. It'll make you both laugh and cry while lifting your awareness. 10/10
Only thing I disliked was the ending BUT that falls on the writer's and their brilliant ( NOT ) ideas.

@Linda Evans We rented it strictly for our enjoyment of Bob Odenkirk, well I mean his character in Better Call Saul.
No regrets here either.

A little ( actually a lot! ) more gore than I had bargained for in the new Netflix movie Gunpowder Milkshake.
I was drawn to it by the title and of course the strong leading ladies in it.
Covered my eyes through most of the stabby stab scenes. Still fairly entertaining but of course, like most action flicks not realistic at all. I give it a fair 7/10.

I want to see Black Widow in the theatre (regular version as I might get freaked out if watching IMAX) to make up for not being able to see Wonder Woman 1984 last summer (original release date) with popcorn!
Tenet (dvd)-whoa, did those first 5 minutes put me on the edge of my seat! Don't eat any snacks...overall premise was intriguing. Mr. Branaugh as baddie-suited him. Actor however eerily had a speaking cadence like Werner Herzog of The Mandalorian along with slightly nasal intonation (made the baddie scarier). Loved the interior scenes of a wind turbine-cool! I don't know how the cast kept up their strength and lines with all the kapow/boom/punches.
I wish to find Death on the Nile (Kenneth Branaugh again but I am interested in Gal Gadot) on dvd but it's not in the library system yet.
Scoping Cineplex website today, I was surprised to see a movie about Anthony Bourdain! That might be worth a big screen ticket.
