Normally we don't do a big meal like a turkey, since there's only DH, DS and I. But I grew up with big family dinners, so we decided to do one - two cousins (sisters), their kids (two teenage boys, an early 20s girl and a five year old), and their Mom, so ten people in all including us.
I have two turkeys defrosting. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, carrots...I've got a lot of work to do! I'm going to try to do as much as I can on Saturday (cook one turkey, peel veggies, etc.) and I'm going to use my crockpot where I can to cook things or keep them warm.
I expect we'll have leftovers, which I will send home with the people. Thankfully our broken dishwasher got replaced yesterday, or I'd be breaking out the Chinet!

Since its Holy Friday we will be having meatless pizza and no special plans for Easter Sunday except a box of chocolates witch "I guess" will have to share with dear hubby.

We got meatless from Wednesday to Sunday - and today is a strict fasting day.
It will just be the three of us for Easter Sunday - but I always make all the traditional foods so we could be feeding 10!
We have everything from the traditional Ukrainian Easter basket (I'll post about that later), plus I make cabbage rolls and potato salad.

Nothing major this weekend. Going to my sisters to help them do some housework (mudding, trim work, painting) as they are preping their house to sell. Not much meal wise. Got a ham thawing, will get some eggs biled for deviled eggs, and making up some treats today if I can get my butt moving(LOL). She doing progies and whatever else they decided on

Today and Sunday is Church. Then on Sunday afternoon we're having an Easter Egg hunt followed by a big Easter dinner at the In-Laws.
Monday we're having my family over for Easter dinner. We'll be having a big ham and all the fixings.

Our blessed Easter foods.
The whole meal was yummy. Both kinds of my breads turned out really well, so I was pleased with that. Ham was great; cabbage rolls were fab!
