Today was a good day, Sdm deals, free sofa etc :)

Today was a good day. I set off on my day to just get out of the house. I am an hour drive away from a shoppers drug mart and any other shopping for that matter.

So I head to shoppers heading just to use my 3 purex coupons but like always I picked up more:
3- purex 2.99 each-------------------free with 3 coupons
4- royal toilet paper- 4.88------$1 coupons---3.88 each
1- multibonita vitamin- 6.99----Free with coupon

Pretty sweet deal there. As I was paying I remembered I had a saver card from reitmans which is only good until tomorrow.

So I get two necklaces, a pocket mirror, sweater and pair of dress pants for $76 + tax, but I have my save $25 card when you spend $75, so it came to around $65 with the taxes - everything was marked down that I bought as well, so even larger savings.

Dollarama for the preggers tests, I just like to have them on hand. I'd rather spend $1 than $10.

Then I come home and there is a message on the phone from a guy in my church, he has been looking for furniture for us since we moved here. He found us a free couch!!!!!
-It is probably about 10-15 years old but was used in an older ladies living room which meant it was only used when she had company. It's not the prettiest thing, but it's in excellent shape, pretty well like brand new. And it has a pull out bed (koil king mattress). The sofa probably cost well over a thousand when she bought it.
-to help it suit our living room I just ordered a sofa slipcover for $45.

I am so happy we now have a couch in our living room, no more folding chairs for us. I now feel like I can have people over without feeling a little embarrassed.

Sadly the SDM I was at today wouldn't accept my $3 coupon for the purex because I would be getting it for free then. I asked if she could re-adjust the price for the coupon to $2.99 but she said she can't do that
