Also Alcaseltzer (sp?) works too. Leave the tabs in the bowl

Also to the greasy hair comment; put baby powder in your hair if youre in a hurry

But also to the carcinogenic comments - apparently baby powder is =\
also don`t use baby powder on babys as it gets inhaled and can cause lung infections
Its the talc in it. You can use corn starch or rice flour instead of traditional baby powder.

I burnt a pot badly (thought I'd have to throw it out), but I read online to put a bounce sheet & the bottom of the pot & cover with water & leave overnight. The next day I washed it out with minimal scrubbing!! I was amazed! Makes me wonder what the heck is in those Bounce sheets

Adjust the water according to the type of paper towel you use but I found Bounty to be the best. Let the paper towel roll soak for a couple of hours. It should be moist but not drenched. Great for kids with sensitive skin.
    What a great idea!!!

My grandmother used to rinse my hair with vinegar post shower/bath. Made my hair very shiny and static free!! And I don't remember smelling like vinegar either!

It's all I use, and I live in an old building where other tenants deal with mice all the time. I haven't seen one since I started using peppermint oil.
Will have to give this a try. Every winter we get a couple mice come over from the farm just across the road. Would love to have something that works (other than traps...ick). Thanks for the tip .

    wow lots of great ideas.
If you have ink (ballpoint pen not gel pen) on fabric, spray with hairspray on the stain. Even dried ink comes off of most stuff fabric. You may have to wash several times. I once bought a jacket for 2.00 becuase of an ink stain & the salesgirl said there was no returns on it. But I did not care.

Throw a large dry towel into your dryer with the wet stuff. Cuts down on drying time. Just make sure you're not throwing a white towel in with black sweatpants...lol (I have two different ones I use for darks/whites)

Okay for those of you with so much toothpaste you could stop buying for years, here are a few uses for you.

1 - Don't bother buying those magic erasers just spread a bit of PLAIN white toothpaste on the wall spot, let it sit for a minute then wipe clean;.

2 - Want to get the tarnish off your costume jewelry, make a luke warm water mixture with toothpaste, swirl the jewelry in the water and dab dry with paper towels.

3 - Dog just ate a "kitty treat" from the box. Take a tiny bit of tooth paste on your finger and rub it again the top of their mouth. Works to deter the habit over time AND you don't get poo breath in your face.

4 - Grout all gross and in need of a clean up, toothpaste along the grout between the titles scrub lightly and rinse with warm water.

I know more but just can't think of them off the top of my head at the moment.

just in case some are still putting away xmas decorations. i just found a whole new way to store the thing glass delicate tree toppers. you know those boxes you can get at the $store made to put wine etc bottles into.. gently wrap your topper in bubble wrap or tissue and carefully slide your topper into it.. fits perfectly.. i found this out the hard way after trying to put a very delicate one in a box with the rest of my decorations.. didn't work. thankfully i got the idea after seeing the box on the table just before i went to put my only last one away.

Rum paste toothpaste into gum to remove it.

Toothpaste will also help get crayon off walls.

Spill red wine, add lots of salt and fast. Do not let the fabric dry, wash and it comes clean.

Travel dusty roads, keep a swiffer duster in you glove compartment, swish, swish. Car dashboard is all clean.

Save egg shells, dry, crush up. Add to your compost for the year - it helps it break down. Vine plants and tomatoes both need calcium to prevent rotting fruit.

Scatter paper wrappers from maxi pads around the bathroom garbage can when not "in the mood" works like a charm!
