Tostitos Brag

A couple of weeks ago I found coupons in Independent for buy Ruffles or Tostitos chips, get $2 off salsa or dip.
Today at Independent I found Tostitos chips and salsa on sale for $1.99 each, regularly $3 each.
So bought the chips and got the salsa for free!
I bought 3 chips and 3 salsa, regular price about $18 plus tax for a total of about $20
OOP paid $6.72 including tax.
Savings of $ 13,28 or about 66%
Love those savings!

I did the same thing, but I pm'd at Target, this was the first time I had a bit of a problem...The cashier said she could only pm the tostitos in the picture, there was only 1 bag of tostitos in the picture...after explaining to her that they can't put every tostitos in the ad etc etc.. She let me have them...Then I had the coupon for the $2.00 off for the salsa, she said it is 1 coupon per person, I said no it's one per purchase, she then said that the coupon said not to be combined with other coupons!! I didn't want to keep explaining everything, so I did 3 separate transactions!! I usually never have any problems using coupons, but this was ridiculous!!

i never have anything but problems when trying to use coupons at target that arent the target-specific coupons.....

The only coupons I've found for the 2.00 off can only be used at Independent, loblaws, valu mart and a couple other stores. Target, obviously, was not one of them. Does target accept competitors coupons?
