With my son's birthday coming up, and the school year, I wanted to use the advantage of pricematching to pick up lots of snacks, and birthday party food. I think I was pretty successful! Also got some regular grocery items and baking supplies for fall/winter (sugars, tomatoes, cheese).

Approximate regular price at my usual grocery store of the below is $252 if I bought these at regular prices at the grocery store beside my house. With extensive price matching AND coupons on the other side of town at Walmart, I paid just over $68 in one shopping trip. 73% Savings overall, with $185 saved. It too me 40 minutes to get through the checkout though, yuck.

    81 Items in Total. 3 x brown sugar, 4 x white sugar, 8 x chips, 6 x maple leaf hotdogs 450g, 8 x Lunchables, 6 x Bearpaws morning cereal fruit and yogurt snacks, 22 x ALymer accent tomatoes, 11 x Special K BBQ Cracker Chips, 2 x Chip Dip, 1 x Herb & Garlic Cream cheese, 4 x Reese Puffs Cereal, 2 x Alphabits Cereal, 3 x Armstrong cheese.

Sorry for size of picture... I am not sure how to resize?

I use an Excel spreadsheet which I save on my phone AND print it so I can zip through the store and get everything quickly. Then at the checkout, I usually ask if they are able to close the checkout behind me or open another so I don't hold up a line (because I would hate to be stuck behind me), we go through all of the pricematches first meaning I show them on of each item, flyer on phone, price, date, location, etc. (saves battery on my phone), and they write them down, then I give them all of my coupons. They ring everything in based on the list, then the coupons. Works pretty well. Produce is toughest because it is by weight and cashiers at our store are still learning how to do it.

Then when I get home, my son helps me organize for a picture, just for fun, and then we file everything away in the cupboards. I have an insane amount of cupboard space, so it is easy to find space for everything. I wish I had a stockpile room though so I could better see what I have at any given time. No spare room though, and I am not sure about putting stuff in the basement because of spiders and things. It is not a finished basement.
