Hi romochicka and welcome to Smart Canucks.

To rep somebody, click on the little symbol next to the status light.



You can enter comments there that the recipient can see, but others cannot. A rep is kind of like recognition for a post you like. You can see how much you've got by clicking on the same symbol in one of your own posts. But you can't keep repping the same few people; you have to rep lots of people (I think its 20) before you can repeat. If you go crazy, the system will tell you have to wait 24 hours before repping again.
