Has anyone had success with this 5$ off anything at Shoppers coupon (from Stayfree, for having done a product review)?
I tried it this weekend at Pharmaprix in Quebec, and the coupon did not work.
The staff there was very nice, and we tried a 5$ transaction, a 20$ transaction. 40% etc (all with products that are not restricted like milk, medecine etc), but it did not work.
It was as if the system was not recognizing the PLU code on the bottom of the coupon.
Could this be only valid in specific provinces?
Usually all PLU codes work accross the country, but maybe I am wrong. This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug MartLast edited by Panache70; Mon, Sep 22nd, 2014 at 10:18 AM.

I haven't used mine yet but what do you mean PLU code ? This isn't an SDM promo or BP coupon so why would they try scanning it ? My understanding is that it's valid as a 5$ GC ...or maybe they could enter it as a 5$ Mfr if the GC option doesn't work

If you have the coupon, look at the bottom of it. There is a PLU Code that normally the cashiers enter in order for discount to go through. There are no instructions on the coupon (you need a microscope to read the small print). There is no bar code on the coupon, so the cashiers manually tried to enter the PLU Code. Are you saying they should have tried to enter this as a GC or a manufacturers coupon?
Sure wish the cashiers were properly educated on how to handle the different promos.

Just took a look at it, I see what you're saying now... hmm, like I said, I haven't used it yet... but if the code doesn't work I'd ask them to enter it as a 5$ Manu... either way I want my 5$ off lol

They took a copy of it and sent it to Head Office for instructions... Hopefully they will have this resolved by next weekend

My SDM just entered it as a manufacturer's coupon, because the PLU wouldn't work.

So having read the other thread (thanks for posting the link), it seems like they need to go in as 2001 code if the PLU code is not accepted. Not sure how much luck I will have with this, as employees are normally instructed to use the PLU if there is one. Will try again next week. Thanks to all who replied.
