I finally made it home!!! Geez, after walking in the pouring rain for a few hours today I'm kind of sick of it!!! It was okay until it got windy. I was wearing my sandles so my feet were a Little on the wet side!!! Call me crazy but I had decided to walk to I just kept going and going and going.......

Hi Maggie, suggest you do a little research on the castor bean plant and the possible risks of the ricin content in the pods. The attached article gives a variety of views on this issue.

Thanks...I have read about it and it is safe to grow...The ricin has to be cooked to be lethal. Animals don't even go near it . I really doubt any neighborhood kids will be out the eating the pods anytime soon.
The Local newspaper was here in previous years to take a picture of the size of some I've grown. I even double checked with the Nursury just up the highway and these are OK.....I don't see a ricin factory in my future!!!
