Any idea what this means?

My guess is some provinces have a law where tax must be paid. I know some coupons allow tax to be covered. Correct me if im wrong but Ontario is one of these provinces.
We can purchase a 18.99 toy and still get it free after tax.
Or
Like at shoppers the fpc coupon code covers the tax too bad not too many choices at shoppersLast edited by Anna Michele; Mon, Nov 24th, 2014 at 09:20 PM.

Got mine, and today was great a big box of sample kits, 10 hasbro $20 coupons and a $5 gas visa card from Kelloge all in one day.
And yes coupon can used for only one toy. We have to pay extra if thats over 20, and won't get any change back if toy will be under 20. And I'm afraid tex is not included in the face value of coupon as its not mentioned any where. Written instruction on the back of coupon are hard to read, very blurry. And description of toys or pictures as on the cereal box only said any hasbro game or toy so I'm afraid cashier can be confused or will take lot of time. So I decided to keep a cutting from the cereal carton with me as reference which toys are included. Any way thanks again Kelloge for a great gift.Need a cheap but still reliable phone plan. I could be wrong, but the wording "before the reduction of coupon value" seems to indicate that you could purchase a toy that is priced over $20.00 and then pay the difference between the price of the toy + tax and the $20.00 coupon.
Reduction = lowering the price by the value of the $20.00 coupon. So, for example, if you purchase a $30 toy in Ontario, you would be charged $30.00 + $3.90 (13%) tax = $33.90 minus the $20.00 coupon and you pay $13.90.
In Ontario, if you want this coupon to cover the cost of a toy so that it's totally free, the maximum price of your toy, before tax, would have to be $17.70.
$17.70 + 2.30 tax (13% HST) = $20.00Last edited by lotsasavings; Mon, Nov 24th, 2014 at 09:42 PM.

Okay after reading, I tend to agree that we should not complain about who got it and who did not get it. The only other real solution is for nothing to be offered on any cereal at all. How many years ago did you almost always get something free inside cereal, whether it be a toy, a hockey card or something. How many have that now? None that I know of!
I am thankful for a great site like this that lets you know about things that you may not know about and let's you stay ahead of the curve sometimes!Insurance Graduate Class of 2014

I have not bought toys in a long time but maybe it says on a Hasbro toy that it is made by Hasbro??? Something like on a Coke can it says "bottled for Coca Cola"? If not, it could be a situation not unlike when I tried to pm some A&W Root Beer at WM where the ad said "Coke Products". The cashier argued with me up and down that it was not valid on A&W. I finally went to customer service and while waiting in line, a Pepsi rep came up to the counter. I asked him who made A&W in Canada, he told me "Coke does, why?". I got my Root Beer.
I hope it is not complicated but I am thinking it won't be. Hasbro knows their products and will not want unhappy customers. Maybe check the toys around your house that are made by them to see what is on a box, if you have a box still. See what it says on there.Insurance Graduate Class of 2014

All toys and games made by Hasbro will have a Logo on the bottom right corner like this. No one should have problems using the coupon on a product with the Logo.

I think that if they're going to offer promotions like this it should be limited to "one per household". That way it is a lot harder for people to hoard the coupons or buy the cereal just to trade the coupons on websites like smartcanucks for gift cards. That's not the purpose of these promotions and it would help to solve the problem of so many people complaining about the promotion being over before they even receive the boxes in their local stores.
Do you honestly think that Kellogg's and Hasbro are putting out these coupons for our benefit? Of course not. They do it for advertisement. They do it for their company to keep their loyal customers and have more consumers try/buy their products. It's not like they're doing us a favour by offering these types of promotions; we're doing them a favour by buying their products!! Without us, there would be no Kellogg's in the first place.
Whether everyone got coupons or not, a sold out promotion should not be advertised in upcoming flyers!!!
