ExpiredChris went out to Food Basics today, just to pick up a few things.
Thanks to the coupon that CarlyinCanada had sent him, he thought he would get the 2 6 packs of 710 ml Pepsi and get a 6 pack of Pepsi Max for free. So he went looking for the pop and could only find Pepsi, no Pepsi Max. So he threw 3 in the cart and went up to the checkout anyhow.
Before the girl rung them in, he asked if he could still use the coupon. The girl asked the cashier beside her and she said yeah it was okay... Good deal right??? So the girl rings everything in, Chris pays for it and is ready to walk away when the girl looks at the receipt and says "Oh wait, I charged you for the other 2 Pepsi's and should not have!"
Chris kept his mouth shut
, still puzzled but what she meant, and the head cashier came and proceeded to refund the 2 other 6 packs!!!!! Chris checked the receipts after he hightailed it out of there and sure enough, ALL THREE WERE FREE!!!!!!!

Sounds like he getting back in shape in no time!!!!

Best of all, he made it home safe and sound and no damage to the van!!!!! He had to make 4 trips into the house but he was happy to be able to go out on his own again and take care of the shopping... I don't mind because that means I don't have to do it!
Now he thinking he should take the other coupon and try the same thing again!!!
Trouble is, we have no room for 18 bottles, let alone 36 of them!!!!!
So thank you Carly
for the coupon, turned out to be a better deal then first imagined!!!
By the way, how this got put into this area of the forum is beyond me??? Can it be moved to the Bragging Section please???This thread is currently associated with: Food BasicsLast edited by theweave; Sun, Oct 2nd, 2011 at 12:35 AM.

I agree it's lucky but lets not be too harsh.. we've all had coupons rung in in our favor and it was a mistake.
I think when she wrote about trying it again, and Chris had suggested trying it again, they were joking.
I think this falls into the "people should be postive about comments or not comment at all" column

Yes it is true that it was an error in our favour... does that make us criminals or something? I don't think that it does whatsover. I am sure the same people that posted negative comments would not have said a word if faced with the same situation!! Perhaps sour grapes that an error went in our favour and not theirs...
If you turn the tables around, does that make it right??? If the cashier OVERCHARGES YOU do you then not say a word and let the store keep your money? Absolutely not, they would be the first ones on here complaining that they got "ripped off" by the cashier.
Today we got lucky, plain and simple... and no we are NOT trying this again, that WAS A JOKE, apprantly some people don't see the LOL part of it!
Everyone have a happy weekend, we know that we will!Is it baseball season yet?

Whether other people do it or not is not a valid justification for being dishonest. Sorry if my post isn't "positive", but I find it strange when people on here are encouraging people who brag about stealing.
