I'm almost done! So far I've bought:
-Snowman Wine Class with a bottle of Wine (1 for each of DD's teachers)
-BBW Hand Soap for all the preschool teachers (10 in all)
-Wooden family name sign for my mom & her hubby
-Gift cards for a few of the harder to buy for people
-A toy, a book and PJS for all our nieces and nephews
-Special photo blown up and put in a nice frame for FIL and DH
-Hand-soap/ Hand Cream set for MIL
-Misc. items for kids (toys, books, games, clothes).
I really just have to finish DH, no ideas yet...
The only thing I really want is a remote car started INSTALLED (DH bought me one last year but they wanted a small fortune to install it so he returned it and planned to go to another place but never got to it).
We started putting up our outside decorations today! So exciting!

I had wanted one of these too and my mother had gone so far as to buy it as well. Canadian tire has sales on these all the time, but was informed that they don't install them. The places she was told to check out for installation quoted prices like $300.
I've started my shopping but am at the stage where I need to think up a few more gift ideas. As for myself, I've only mentioned two things I wanted to my mother. An infinity scarf and a keyboard/mouse combo.

I still have a lot to buy. Most of what I bought has been for my kids and DH. I have been waiting for Black Friday to finish it all up.
Don't have a wishlist for myself. Maybe a GC or too for Boxing Day sales.

My DH bought it at Canadian Tire but when he called them to get it installed they quoted "around $300 but could be as high as $600". I couldn't believe it. Plus the cost of buying the system for $75.
With my old car I went to a local shop and they did it all for $250 total. So I told him to take it back and call the shop. He did but they were booked for the next month straight then he got busy. lol.
I've been hinting a lot so hopefully he has booked my car in already.
No way I'd go with CT! Better to try local speciality shops!

We started buying after Christmas 2013
We don't need to buy for any more people
This computer I am using is old, old, old - has it's problems and hiccups. That's what I would want, I guess.

I actually would like someone to get me a deluxe food dehydrator as my one and only gift this year....I think they are called Excalibur? I shall start dropping hints around here soon and maybe leaving glossy pics of the one I want laying in plain sight!!

I've bought a book, chocolates, mug with tea set, and a scarf. I'm close to being done. 5 gifts cards and one more book left to buy.
I'm hoping the mega SDM redemption is soon. I plan on using points for stocking stuffers, and groceries for a Christmas hamper. At a mall ,they have a tree with paper type ornaments with boys and girls various ages written on them. You pick one and can buy gift(s) for them. I believe it's through the food bank or an organization like that. I may use points for that too.
For myself I wouldn't mind a gift card for the salon where I have my hair cut.Last edited by toban; Mon, Nov 17th, 2014 at 08:21 PM.
