Just dropped off some toys at the local RBC. Today is officially 30 days until Christmas! I was sad to see there was only one gift in the toy donation bin
Don't forget to start bringing those gifts in!This thread is currently associated with: N/AApply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

I plan on donating a toy or two this year. Feels great to help!

Thanks for the reminder. Consider donating something that a teenager would want. They're often forgotten in toy drives as most people donate toys for young kids and infants.

You're absolutely right.
My bag was full of jewelry and hair accessories for teenage girls. I separated them in ziploc bags so they can go together with outfits (e.g. green hairband and green earrings together).
I realize now I should've left a note but hopefully the gift sorters will figure out that they are sorted for a reason
I'm thinking books would be great for teens tooLast edited by torontogal12; Wed, Nov 26th, 2014 at 11:44 AM.

I think books are a good idea. I also think that sports equipment, like basketballs, soccer balls, hockey stuff, baseball bats etc. are good ideas too.

Here we always do, to the Salvation Army.
Very good reminder about the teens - and especially, for males.

I bet teens would like DVDs too
Sci-fi movies or those comedies starring former Disney stars. You can get those types for $5 in the bargain bin and some of them are pretty great!Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's one of my highlights at Christmas: finding something for a boy and a girl to put under the Christmas tree at our TD bank....lots there already and they get tons to donate by Christmas...love it!

Some good $2 DVDs at Target that could work.

@Nickblat not sure. Check with your local church, fire/police station or Salvation Army. These places all distribute toysLast edited by torontogal12; Fri, Nov 28th, 2014 at 08:41 AM.
